Decent Card for < 2016 games
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 June 2022I've had a few variations of the RX550, including the bigger version, but this card is more stable, slightly faster, and overall offers a better consistency. Games that would tank below 60 fps on low settings on the bigger version of this card runs at a steady 60+ (DMC 5 - Res: 1600x900 - windowed) on the same settings, if not med (comfortable 30 fps on a few post 2016). If you're on a budget, enjoy games like Skyrim, and Rocket League, and will run Warzone @ about 40 ish fps on low settings, then this card is for you.
Just make sure your CPU and Motherboard are compatible before buying. It'll only take you 20 minutes to look it up.

Excellent 👌
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 January 2022I ordered the memory card for my son. He installed it by himself ( he is 15) it was easy to install. The order came in time, whensupplier didn't find anyone at home one day,he came back next day. Amazon informed me all the time about everything. Good experience ☺️. I approve of precautionary measures on expensive orders. I definitely recommend that 😊☺️

Pain in the rear installation, broken after a day of usage
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 October 2022I bought this product in order to use it with my Z690 platform as at the moment I am waiting for my 'proper' graphics card to arrive, so this is essentially a 'stopgap' product to tie me over.
Upon arriving, I noticed there was a letter missing from the 'DirectX' on the box (it reads "irectX) that probably was a bad sign that things would get worse.
Upon installing I did my usual new graphics card installation stuff, used DDU, installed in nicely and had already downloaded the latest RX 550 drivers from the AMD website. Installation was painless as far as installing drivers go. Nothing new here.
Upon rebooting my PC I noticed that the system seemed more sluggish than usual. There was a 'PCI bus installed, please reboot PC' message, so I did just that. Upon rebooting for the third time, I noticed sound was off. I usually use HDMI audio to my external speakers. Upon using different apps I noticed severe sound crackling. I also noticed the system kept hanging every few seconds making the system feel as if it was 'stuttering'. I also noticed the fan on the card is very loud and even putting it down to its lowest fan speed was far louder than my older RTX 3090 card (a much, much more powerful card).
I decided to use my motherboards built in sound, disabling AMD/GPU's sound driver through device manager, that fixed the crackling. I opted to reduce the desktop resolution from 3840x2160 down to 1920x1080 and that seemed to make everything less stuttery, but the hang ups from before were still present.
I spent a day testing out the graphics card using different games, some exhibited strange stuttering but overall it was decent as far as budget cards get. However later into the evening, after finishing some gaming I noticed the screen kept flickering. Things got progressively worse as the desktop started artifacting, visual bugs galore. At this point, I decided this is enough and now I am ready to send the item back as its obviously faulty. One should not need to go through so many hoops in order to get such a basic item working. I come from a RTX 3090, it never gave me any problems like this smaller branded GPU. As for the brand itself, I took a gamble as I have never heard of the brand itself but let me just say this is the last time I am buying anything from them ever again.
It is disappointing that a brand new card like this is broken. The card had no visible signs of damage so I can imagine the problem is internal/hardware related. I could probably fix it but at the end of the day it will be so much easier just to get my money back.
Stay away.

it's good for gaming but make sure it is compactable for your PC.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 January 2022I bought this graphics card for my partner, he said it has made his games a lot better quality, it doesn't crash very often compared to his old graphics on his computer.
Once I had ordered it from Amazon it arrived to my address very quickly before Christmas when I assumed it would be afterwards considering when I did make the purchase.
it wasn't the easiest to install but that could be due to the type of computer he already had anyway it was easily done in the end.

Reviewed in Spain on 11 July 2026Calidad-precio muy bueno.

Ben P5 out of 5 starsGreat card for older machines
Reviewed in Canada on 30 August 2022If you have an older machine and if you are looking for a graphics card for ordinary use and maybe some light gaming, this is a great choice. It is listed as one of the top eight cards that does not require an extra power connection, as some older machines do not provide that option. I got this card on a big sale, it arrived the next day after order, clearly new, well packaged, nice and clean and solid, no issues. Easy to install, works great with Windows 10. I used an HDMI connection to a 4K monitor (resolution 3840x2140) which worked great. I did some light gaming, no issues. Card is not noisy. The card also has good connectivity options, HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI. So as long as you are not a super serious gamer, this is a great card. Mind you, if you shop around, you can find cards like the GTX1650, 1050Ti or RX 6400 which also do not require extra power and are much more powerful graphics cards. If the prices are comparable, it would make sense to get one of those instead, BUT if you can get the RX 550 on a good sale for much less than those other alternatives, and it meets your needs, it works great! This card is best described as "a solid budget pick". Worth getting if you can get it for a great price, for much less than other higher performers. If you are a serious 3D gamer, then this is not for you, although you can play lots of games fine on it.

&5 out of 5 starsRuns Great on my older Linux PC
Reviewed in the United States on 1 February 2026I have an older desktop PC that I repurposed by installing a Linux operating system. When the Linux Mint OS that I use updated to release 22.2, it no longer supported the the NVidia graphics card that was in the PC. I chose this AMD card as a replacement as Mint supports this AMD GPU. Although modest in specs, it seemed like this would be a good replacement choice for the price, and indeed it was. The card is not that heavy but seems well built, fits nicely in the case, and does not require an additional slot or an external power connector.
When it arrived I simply just plugged it in the PC's bus and secured the card. When I turned the PC on it just worked - no drivers to install, no tricky settings to adjust. Best of all, the fan is very quiet. Now, I'm not into heavy gaming so this GPU is more than sufficient for my needs. No matter what I throw at it, it always comes through. HD videos run great, and what few games I have never dropped frames. Very satisfied.
*It should be noted that AMD GPUs do not support processing of AI LLMs locally where NVidia GPUs are designed to support AI processing locally.
