Full-Stack Developer & Data Analytics • MSc @ BCIT
Vancouver, BC
Open to opportunities
I’m a Master’s student in Applied Computing at BCIT with a background in Computer Science and Microbiology & Immunology from UBC.
I specialize in full-stack development and machine learning, currently working on:
- TutorSpace: A tutoring management platform built with Spring Boot, Next.js, and PostgreSQL
- Plant tissue growth simulation: Computational biology research using C++ and the Tissue Simulator
- Machine learning projects: Including malware detection with LightGBM (F1: 0.96, ROC-AUC: 0.99) and indoor visual place recognition with DINOv2
- Data visualization: Interactive dashboards and analytics platforms using React, Plotly, and Power BI
My experience spans full-stack development (React, TypeScript, Spring Boot), data science and ML (Python, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LightGBM), and data analytics (R, SQL, Power BI, data visualization). I’ve built production data dashboards including a BC COVID-19 public health dashboard and the Youth Data Explorer for GLOCAL Foundation.
I bring a unique perspective combining software engineering, data analytics, and scientific research, with hands-on experience in data pipeline development, statistical analysis, and creating actionable insights from complex datasets.
I’m actively seeking full-time opportunities in full-stack, backend, ML engineering, or data analytics roles in Vancouver or remote.
When I’m not coding, you can find me tutoring students in math and science, playing soccer, or exploring new hobbies and interests.
