I am interested(/concerned) to see if TQ ticket sales get treated as a blip or if they’ll change their strategy for future LA runs
I’ve seen a few people point out the need to promote locally and I do agree. I know reaching a new audience is tough and that’s then more marketing budget but it’s all well and good telling fans to spread the word about the show when there are so many people already excited for it who just can’t make it to LA. There will still always be fans who somehow have no idea it was happening until after the fact and you’re like, were you living under a rock, so yes making noise about the show helps, but… a lot of these showings are like half sold
And at that point to make it sustainable they’re forced to go back to doing more limited runs, which would suck for them because they’re putting just as much work into a show that they only get to perform live a handful of times
Honestly with this coming after what Brian said on that podcast about selling more tickets in London, I do wonder if we really could get a west end premiere if they do another HF remount (which is what anyone local to LA who could easily go to TQ but only cares about HF would deserve who said that)
TL;DR please, now more than ever, if you can then get the digital ticket for this show, and the album and digital download when they come out. That support helps SO much if you can’t make it in person
And if you CAN make it to the show, please go and invite everyone you know
