A local-first scouting workspace for football and basketball recruitment. It brings player search, shortlists, comparisons, notes, and CSV workflows into one responsive interface.

My contribution

Built sport-specific tables and profile views, transparent data provenance, browser-local persistence, import/export tools, and installable PWA support without requiring an account or paid service.

Algorithmic trading research

A private Python research platform for paper execution, signal filtering, risk gates, model evaluation, and detailed profit-and-loss reporting after fees.

My contribution

Designed the system to default to paper trading, block live execution behind explicit readiness checks, reject trades that fail cost and risk gates, and keep proprietary strategy code private.

Accessibility technology

S.E.N.S.E.

A smart-glasses prototype combining AI voice guidance and hardware to support visually impaired users during micro-navigation.

My contribution

Led the interface design and built communication resources connecting the wearable prototype with its caregiver-facing dashboard.

  1. May — July 2026

    Software Developer Intern / Web Developer

    NBA Cap Tracker · via Riipen

    • Engineered frontend features and Trade Machine enhancements for an active Next.js and TypeScript application through pull requests and peer reviews.
    • Redesigned navigation, modularized Navbar logic, cleared Sonar Cloud quality gates, and added 2027/28 season projections.

  2. April — June 2026

    Jr. Software Developer

    Allymon · via Riipen

    • Built a local full-stack fintech environment with Next.js, Express.js, and MySQL while resolving database and authentication issues.
    • QA-tested user, loan, and investor workflows and documented data-mapping defects and malformed payloads.

  3. March — May 2026

    Software Developer Intern

    Macro Tec Systems · via Riipen

    • Revamped a React Native finance application with clearer screens, navigation, and visual hierarchy.
    • Integrated beta releases into active UI branches and resolved merge conflicts while preserving product functionality.

    • Directed technical events for a community of more than 2,100 members.
    • Co-managed a 24-hour hackathon for more than 50 participants with executives, volunteers, and external collaborators.

About Alp

I’m studying Computer Science at York University with a minor in Economics, graduating in May 2029. Through Riipen, I’ve contributed to a basketball-finance product, a fintech platform, and a React Native finance app.

My own work includes a Python trading research platform, a local-first recruitment workspace, and an award-winning accessibility prototype. At CS Hub, I helped organize events for a community of more than 2,100 members.
