Quick editor walkthrough?

In under a minute, learn how to upload an image, add keyframes, and export your first animation. We'll walk you through the editor step by step.

Image
Step 1 of 8
Choose your editor mode

Pick Free form (2D Mode) for flat images, or place your design on an iPhone mockup. Set canvas size and background colour here too.

Image
Step 2 of 8
Upload your image

Click Upload Image in the sidebar, or drag and drop onto the canvas. Screenshots, UI designs, and graphics all work - any standard image is supported.

Image
Step 3 of 8
Position and add your first keyframe

Drag your image on the canvas to set its starting position, scale, or rotation. When you're happy, click Add Keyframe to capture how it looks at this moment.

Image
Step 4 of 8
Add motion with another keyframe

Move your image on the canvas again, then click Add Keyframe. Motion Canvas automatically animates between the two keyframes.

Image
Step 5 of 8
Fine-tune timing and easing

Select any keyframe to adjust its duration, position, scale, and rotation in the sidebar. Pick an easing style to control how smoothly the motion moves between frames.

Image
Step 6 of 8
Preview your animation

Hit play to preview your animation from start to finish at any time. Use restart to jump back to the start, or scrub the timeline to check any moment.

Image
Step 7 of 8
Export your video

When you're ready, click Export in the top right. Choose your quality, frame rate, and resolution, then download a crisp MP4.
