These Terms of Service govern your use of the website located at https://offprint.app, its subdomains, and any related services provided by Offprint ("we", "us", or "our").
By accessing Offprint, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using or accessing this website or using any other services provided by Offprint.
We reserve the right to review and amend any of these Terms of Service at our sole discretion. Upon doing so, we will update this page and the "last updated" date. Any changes to these Terms of Service will take effect immediately from the date of publication. Your continued use of Offprint after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Service were last updated on March 28, 2026.
Open Beta
Offprint is currently in open beta. The service is provided on an evolving basis and features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. During beta, we may also adjust pricing, plan limits, and available functionality. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, but cannot guarantee advance notice for all modifications.
Accounts and Authentication
Offprint uses the AT Protocol (atproto) for authentication. You sign in using your existing AT Protocol identity (such as a Bluesky account) via OAuth. By authenticating, you authorize Offprint to access your decentralized identifier (DID), handle, display name, and avatar from your AT Protocol account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your AT Protocol account and any sessions associated with Offprint. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
Decentralized Nature and the AT Protocol
Offprint is built on the AT Protocol network. This means:
- Your content is stored on the AT Protocol. Publications, documents, and subscriber records you create through Offprint are synced to the AT Protocol network via your Personal Data Server (PDS). This data is portable and belongs to you.
- We do not control the AT Protocol network. Offprint operates as a client of the AT Protocol. We do not manage, operate, or control the underlying network infrastructure or your PDS. For questions about how your data is handled at the protocol level, consult your PDS provider's documentation.
- Public data is public. Content published to the AT Protocol is publicly accessible by design. Other applications and services that interact with the AT Protocol may display, index, or cache your published content.
- Data portability. Because your data lives on the AT Protocol, you can take your content, audience, and identity to any other AT Protocol-compatible service at any time.
Publications and Content
Offprint allows you to create publications — branded spaces where you publish written content. You retain full intellectual property ownership over all content you create and publish through Offprint.
When you use Offprint to create and publish content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and transmit your content through our platform and through the AT Protocol network, consistent with your publication settings and our Privacy Policy. This license exists solely to operate the service and terminates when you delete your content or account.
You are solely responsible for the content you publish, including ensuring you have the right to publish it and that it complies with applicable laws.
User Conduct and Content Guidelines
You agree not to use Offprint to:
- Publish or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or incites violence
- Publish hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Distribute spam, malware, or deceptive content
- Impersonate other individuals or entities
- Harvest, collect, or gather user data without consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks
- Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
- Use the service in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our sole discretion.
Email Newsletters
Offprint provides email newsletter functionality for Pro plan subscribers. If you use this feature:
- You are responsible for compliance with all applicable anti-spam laws, including CAN-SPAM, CASL, and GDPR, when sending emails to your subscribers.
- You must only email subscribers who have opted in to receive communications from your publication. Importing contacts who have not given explicit consent is prohibited.
- All emails include unsubscribe links. Recipients can opt out of your emails at any time, and you must honor these requests.
- Subscriber data belongs to you. You are responsible for how you collect, use, and protect your subscribers' email addresses and personal information, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Subscriptions and Billing
Offprint offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (currently "Pro"). Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and may be offered on a monthly or yearly basis.
- Billing. Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you select. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file for the applicable fees.
- Beta pricing. During the beta period, we may offer discounted pricing. Beta pricing is locked in for the duration of your continuous subscription. If you cancel and later resubscribe, standard pricing will apply.
- Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the free tier. Existing content and publications will not be deleted.
- Plan limits. Each plan has limits on features such as the number of publications, email subscribers, and media storage. These limits are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
- Refunds. We generally do not offer refunds for subscription fees. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us.
Intellectual Property
The intellectual property in the materials contained on this website (excluding user-generated content) is owned by or licensed to Offprint and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
You retain all rights to your content. We do not claim ownership over any content you create, publish, or upload through Offprint.
Liability
Our website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, Offprint makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
In no event shall Offprint or its suppliers be liable for any consequential loss suffered or incurred by you or any third party arising from the use or inability to use this website or services, even if Offprint has been notified of the possibility of such damage. This includes any consequential loss, indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of business, or loss of goodwill.
Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or limitations of liability for consequential damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Offprint may contain links to external websites and services not operated by us. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party sites. Use of any linked site is at your own risk.
Right to Terminate
We may suspend or terminate your right to use Offprint and terminate these Terms of Service immediately upon written notice to you for any breach of these Terms of Service or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
Severance
Any term of these Terms of Service which is wholly or partially void or unenforceable is severed to the extent that it is void or unenforceable. The validity of the remainder of these Terms of Service is not affected.
Governing Law
