Modeled after the ubiquitous stereo spatializing pushbutton studio effect from 1979 heard on everything from the Cocteau Twins to Stevie Ray Vaughan. Not a digital pitchshifter, but two analog BBD delay lines in true stereo modulating short delays in opposing directions. The chorused signal is filtered and mixed back into its corresponding dry channel along with a phase flipped copy of the other channel to produce its distinctive ‘stereoizing’ effect. While the look of this plugin is the Dimension C, the sound is Dimension D.
I found a bug in version 0.9 that undermined the motionless part of the ‘motionless chorus’ effect of the Dimension and it is now fixed with version 1.0.
Also for 1.0, I added an additional parameter only available under settings that gives some control over the “antiphase” wet level of Off/Normal/Max.
That probably won’t matter to most but I found myself adjusting it in the Plugdata file while I tested it and figured maybe someone else might want to do the same.
