Where is your platform today?

Planning

No platform in place yet. You're still scoping, gathering requirements, or building the business case. Teams rely on their own tooling; there's no shared platform to adopt.

MVP

An initial platform exists, but it's early and limited. The user base is small — typically the platform team itself plus one or two friendly teams. Features are rough and breaking changes are common.

Early production

The platform is in production, but only a small fraction of teams (up to ~10%) are actively using it. You're proving the model with early adopters and gathering feedback before wider rollout.

Active scaling

The platform is being rolled out more broadly — up to around half of teams are on board. You're balancing new feature work against onboarding support and operational load.

Fully onboarded

The platform is the default path for most teams (80%+). Focus has shifted to optimisation, continued developer-experience investment, and sustaining adoption over time.
