Is SearchQ private?
Yes, and you control it per conversation. Cloud mode syncs chats to your account. Encrypted mode runs in a confidential-compute enclave that cannot read your prompts or responses. Local mode runs the model entirely in your browser, offline, so nothing leaves your device. Incognito mode adds zero data retention and self-deletes when you close the tab. SearchQ never trains on your data.
Do I have to pick which AI model to use?
No. SearchQ automatically routes each question to the model most likely to answer it well, weighing accuracy, speed, and cost. You can still pin a specific model if you prefer, but you never have to choose one.
Which AI models does SearchQ use?
SearchQ runs on 100+ frontier models from every major AI lab. Instead of locking you into one, it routes each question to the best available model and can even compare several at once.
Is my data used to train AI models?
SearchQ never uses your conversations to train AI models, and we never sell your data. For airtight guarantees, Encrypted mode runs in a confidential-compute enclave that cannot read your prompts or responses, Local mode keeps everything on your device, and Incognito mode keeps zero data retention. Nothing is ever stored to train on.
Does SearchQ search the web?
Yes. Web search is always on, so capable models can pull in current information and cite their sources as they answer, instead of relying only on what they learned during training.
Can SearchQ read my documents?
Yes. You can upload PDFs, images, and files and ask questions about them. SearchQ extracts the text, including scanned pages via OCR, and answers grounded in your content. In Local mode, documents are processed entirely in your browser.
How does SearchQ check its answers?
A separate peer model fact-checks each answer, highlighting verified, questionable, and unsupported claims inline. You can also run a multi-model council that answers with several models at once and synthesizes them into one consensus answer.
