Common questions
Do I pay SendOps per email?
No. SendOps charges a flat monthly fee for the platform — seats, templates, retention, and analytics. Email delivery goes through your own AWS SES account at Amazon's rate of $0.10 per 1,000 emails. There is no per-email markup from SendOps.
What happens if I exceed a plan's template or seat limit?
You'll be prompted to upgrade. We never block email delivery — your SES sending continues regardless of your SendOps plan tier.
Do I need an AWS account?
Yes. SendOps connects to your existing AWS account and manages SES on your behalf. You keep full ownership of your sending infrastructure, domains, and data.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.
How is SendOps different from SendGrid or Postmark?
SendGrid, Postmark, and similar providers send email through their own infrastructure and charge per email — and usually per contact too. SendOps is a full email marketing and analytics platform on top of your own AWS SES: audiences, broadcasts, drip workflows, templates, and analytics, while SES handles delivery at a fraction of the cost on your own sending reputation.
Do you charge per contact?
No. Contacts, lists, and segments aren't billing dimensions on any SendOps plan. Managed platforms typically charge $200+ per month just to store 50,000 contacts — whether you email them or not, which punishes exactly the right behavior: keeping a large, well-maintained list and sending targeted, occasional email. Per-contact pricing pushes you to either prune leads you paid to acquire or over-email everyone to justify the bill. On SendOps, your audience is data in your platform, not a meter.
