The DISARC is hiring students who are interested in supporting the Student Affinity and Resource Centers at Cal State East Bay. We are looking for students who are committed to creating a sense of belonging for our students, who are interested in leading critical conversations around social justice and supporting marginalized communities, and who are wanting to make a difference beyond themselves.
We will be hiring 12-14 students who can work between 8 to 15 hours a week (minimum 2 days a week) for the 2026-2027 academic school year.Student Program Assistants- Role encompasses program planning, graphic design, and marketing/outreach
- Engage in assessing the needs of our diverse students, student clubs/organizations, academic programs to help determine future programming and services for DISRAC to provide
- Lead small group discussions to gauge a sense of belonging for students within the various and intersectional communities.
- Engage in critical dialogue and strategic planning on the vision and mission of DISARC
- Serve as a student ambassador for the DISARC
- Create flyers and marketing materials used to promote events, educational opportunities, and any other marketing materials needed
- Manage social media and website platforms like BaySync, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and any other necessary platform
Requirements
- A student who is interested in being involved in a leadership position and connect to the campus community.
- Available to work a minimum of 8 hours - maximum 15 hours per week, minimum 2 days a week
- Available to work on campus and in person
- Must attend monthly mandatory training and pre-fall orientation (to be held the week before school starts)
