Exactly. I was planning on building on top of the original for a kick-ass sequel. Even the first Killzone got a 70 on metacritic, but the sequel roared back with a 91. You gotta crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run.

Now that I’ve finished it, I can easily say that Days Gone is the most underrated game I’ve ever played. It’s rough around the edges for sure but the core of its gameplay and story are so worth experiencing. I’m relieved it sold well because I NEED a sequel.
Looks like I reverse-jinxed myself. #TLoU2 Platinum Trophy acquired. Such a brilliant game. Can't wait for everyone to play. Thanks to @Neil_Druckmann and everyone at @Naughty_Dog for raising the bar so damn high. Also, @LauraBaileyVO and @TheVulcanSalute deserve Oscars for this.
Launch week sales of Days Gone in Japan are the third highest for a western Sony title, only behind Spider-Man and Uncharted 4.
It would also make it the biggest new IP launch for Sony on PS4 (as Spider-Man isn't really a new IP)
