I'm proud to announce the product of many busy days and sleepless nights: "A Companion for SwiftUI" is a quick dynamic reference guide. It goes straight to the point, unlike my blog articles, which are more in-depth discussions. apps.apple.com/us/app/a-compa… #SwiftUI #iOSDev #SwiftLang

Time for a new two-part article. This time we are diving into matchedGeometryEffect. It may look innocent at first, but combine it with custom transitions and animatable modifiers... et voilà! Hero Animations! #SwiftUI #iOSDev swiftui-lab.com/matchedgeometr…

The final part of the matchedGeometryEffect article has landed! Here we go into every aspect of this great tool. The example project this time creates new hero animations, but without needing custom transitions! Have fun! 😉 swiftui-lab.com/matchedgeometr… #iOSDev #SwiftUI

Did you know you can build a honeycomb with LazyVStack and little effort? New article "Impossible Grids with SwiftUI" is out now. I cover grid basics first, and then we take it one step further. The honeycomb is just one example. Enjoy! 🐝 #iosDev #SwiftUI swiftui-lab.com/impossible-gri…

Here's a preview of the next bag of tricks I've been working on. Next Monday I'll be posting the first part of the series: "Advanced SwiftUI Animations". With a little imagination, the possibilities of these protocols are endless. Have a look... #SwiftUI #iosDev #SwiftLang

Fresh article out: .id(): What is it good for? We'll see how we can apply this simple but elusive method, and we'll explore some uses, among them, how to get better performance out of the List view. swiftui-lab.com/swiftui-id/ #SwiftUI #SwiftLang #iOSDev

Hi, here’s a new post about how to handle backward compatibility in SwiftUI to avoid plaguing your code with “available” checks. We’ll also explore how to combine the new App protocol and the old UIApplicationMain in the same app. swiftui-lab.com/backward-compa… #iOSDev #SwiftUI

I’m working on my next post (hopefully arriving tomorrow). But in the meantime, a quick and fun tip. Did you know that ZStack is not the only stack that can overlap views? HStack and VStack can too… just use negative spacing. And of course, it's animatable. #iosDev #SwiftUI

Just posted an article exploring the new SwiftUI Grid. I also include the code for an app I call Grid Trainer. You can play with all its parameters and behaviors. The whole app is in a single swift file. Just copy, paste and have fun! 😉 swiftui-lab.com/eager-grids #iosDev #SwiftUI
