Forced inclusion doesn’t prevent censorship. It has hard limits. As a result, existing rollups have worse censorship resistance than Ethereum. They do not “inherit” its security properties Click through, or scroll down for the 3 tweet version

Rollup fork-choice rules are poorly explored. In this article, we examine what it means for a rollup to "fork", and how rollups can reorg without their DA layer. Rollups can use this for enshrined app logic. Click through for more, TL;DR below:

as our first project, we co-architected Execution Extensions (ExExes) with the Reth team to help build the next-generation of Ethereum infrastructure. ExExes set a new standard for blockchain performance by positioning code in the hot path of the fastest Ethereum client.

Releasing Reth Execution Extensions. Execution Extensions (ExEx) are post-execution hooks for building real-time, high performance and zero-operations off-chain infra on top of Reth. Today's release demonstrates a Reth-based Rollup in <1000 LoC, among other exciting things.

Exclusion is not a censor's only tool. Censors can manipulate state, which can invalidate transactions. They can use this to harm users, while still including their transactions. Forced inclusion cannot prevent this

This affects all existing rollups and Ethereum’s EIP-7547 and cannot be totally fixed. Forced inclusion is not sufficient to protect users. Read our full discussion

What does trevm do? - trevm make running EVMs easy - it guides you through using the EVM API via the typestate pattern - trevm is extensible and well-documented - and trevm has shortcuts for consensus logic for cancun, prague, and more github.com/init4tech/trevm

trevm fills a tooling gap between transactions and execution, with simple, joyful, safe APIs We already use trevm internally. Now, we want to share it with the community as an open-source tool so other developers can benefit from it as well. We're hoping you enjoy it too :)

For example: A sequencer can prevent USDC withdrawals from lending markets by temporarily borrowing all available USDC, or censor an AMM trade by moving the price temporarily
