I feel like making an engineering team a great environment for junior devs automatically makes it a great environment for devs of all skill levels. Great docs and discoverability, smooth onboarding, comfy tools and workflows, easy to collaborate and get help, etc.
I'm hiring an engineer now. I've never seen so many fraudulent resumes, phone screens, code samples, etc. LLM slop has flooded the engineering hiring market, which means I think hires are going to be even more network-based than before. That feels bad.
It is an exciting time to be a front-end developer. @reasonm, @elmlang, @typescriptlang and @flowtype, RXJS, new React features, @vuejs, design systems, new CSS stuff, CSS-in-JS, Svelte, GraphQL, zero-config bundlers, etc etc etc. So many fun things to learn and play with.
