I made a new thing. A system tray app that turns any highlighted text into speech. Streams long documents in chunks so playback starts instantly. Word-by-word highlighting synced to audio. All running locally. It's all open source: thrd.me/tts #ADHD #Dyslexia #a11y

Developers don’t burn out because the work is hard. They burn out because the codebase is unsafe and nobody will call it that. We already have the tools. We just don’t enforce the safety protocols.
