Coinbase is increasingly moving onchain first. This is a 10x strategic bet which will yield a positive, asymmetric outcome akin to Zuck's push to move FB towards mobile in 2014. You see this with @base already which has been the most engaging product we've seen in recent years.

Crypto lending markets are moving onchain. $200M+ borrowed on @coinbase retail loans — was $100M two weeks ago. Yes, correlated with price action but also serving a genuine demand for users needing cash. The best part? It’s all public and we’re not lying on our numbers.

Big day for me and the team behind @coinbase’s BTC loans product. The craziest reality check of hitting $1B in BTC collateral backing the loans on @MorphoLabs is that it’s still a very tiny fraction of total Bitcoin we custody for customers. The real flywheel hasn’t started.
