We were thrilled to welcome MP Maggie Chi, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Health, to ProteinQure today! She toured our office and saw firsthand how our AI platform is accelerating drug discovery and enabling better clinical trials. We especially appreciated her inquiry into the unique challenges facing small drug discovery companies in Canada and for engaging in the conversation about time and cost barriers in clinical trials. It's encouraging to see federal leadership genuinely interested in understanding the business realities alongside the science shaping the future of Canadian biotech. Somewhere in a vendor catalogue is the monomer your peptide drug discovery program needs. Good luck finding it. Today we are releasing the Peptide Monomer Explorer, a searchable interface to the ProteinQure Peptide Monomer Database. Of the 8,000+ monomers in our peptide drug design toolbox, these are the 2,488 that are chemically standardized and carry a commercial source, as of July 2026. This allows drug hunters to find what they need. What is in it: → SMILES in protected and unprotected forms, plus InChIKeys. → Backbone classification across α/β/γ/δ/ε scaffolds. → Natural analogue mapping and a HELM-style shorthand. → Vendor provenance across Bachem, Combi-Blocks, WuXi TIDES and more. → Cross-references to PubChem, PDB, HELM and ChEMBL. What you can do with it: → Search by name, by SMILES, or by the name you only half remember. → Pull the nearest neighbours of any monomer, ranked by Tanimoto similarity. → Open the Chemical Exploration view and explore your favourite monomer’s chemical map, split into four regions: close analogues, potential activity cliffs, putative scaffold hops, and the far edge of the space. → Move the thresholds yourself, because where you draw the line between a close analogue and a scaffold hop is a scientific judgment, not a constant. → Export the filtered subset as TSV, CSV, SDF or JSON, and the plot as PNG. We built it because engineering the next generation of peptide blockbusters should not begin with reconciling six vendor catalogues by hand. We presented updated PQ203 findings at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting during the Developmental Therapeutics—Molecularly Targeted Agents and Tumor Biology poster session. PQ203 is a first-in-class, machine-learning designed peptide-drug conjugate targeting SORT1 in patients with advanced solid tumor malignancies. The Phase 1A/B multi-center clinical trial is evaluating safety, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, immunogenicity, and preliminary anti-tumor activity. This study reflects the work of investigators, clinical collaborators, and ProteinQure colleagues advancing PQ203 from design into the clinic.
