Gravity RPC

With Quicknode, you get access to our global Gravity network which always routes your API requests to the nearest available location, ensuring low latency and the fastest speeds.

Gravity Overview

Gravity is a Layer-1 blockchain designed as an omnichain settlement layer that enables applications to execute user intents across multiple blockchains. The platform focuses on full-chain abstraction, aiming to conceal the complexity of cross-chain interactions for users and developers.

Gravity is fully EVM-compatible, allowing developers to deploy and interact with smart contracts using existing Ethereum development tools and practices. The platform targets use cases like intent-based transactions, gas abstraction for multi-chain operations, and omnichain applications.

Gravity Mainnet (L1)

The current Gravity Mainnet is an independent Layer-1 blockchain with chain ID 127001 (0x1f019). It runs on the Reth client and serves as the primary network for production deployments. This L1 architecture provides Gravity with full sovereignty over its consensus and execution layers.

Gravity Alpha Mainnet (Legacy L2)

Gravity Alpha Mainnet was the original network launched in August 2024 as an Arbitrum Nitro-based Layer-2 with chain ID 1625 (0x659), settling to Ethereum. This network has been superseded by the new Gravity L1 Mainnet. Developers with existing deployments on Alpha Mainnet should plan to migrate to the new L1 Mainnet.

Interacting with Gravity's APIs

Gravity supports standard Ethereum JSON-RPC methods, enabling developers to use Ethereum's native tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, and popular Web3 libraries without modification.

The Quicknode Gravity documentation is continuously evolving as the chain undergoes upgrades and changes, so we highly recommend cross-referencing with the official Gravity documentation for the latest updates and features.

Make Gravity API Calls

The quickest way to start building on Gravity is to create a Quicknode endpoint and send your first JSON-RPC request.

Quicknode provides managed Gravity endpoints, giving you immediate access to Gravity Mainnet without the overhead of running infrastructure. These endpoints offer:

  • High reliability – globally distributed infrastructure designed to minimize downtime
  • Enhanced performance – optimized latency and request handling for production-grade apps
  • Integrated ecosystem – additional functionality through specialized APIs (add-ons) on the Quicknode Marketplace and products like Streams

Visit the QuickStart page to create your endpoint and send your first request.
