  • The 2026 Matter Open Day wrapped up last week, co-hosted by the Connectivity Standards Alliance China Member Group (CMGC) and the CBD Fair Expo (Guangzhou). As a Silver Sponsor, we were proud to participate in both the keynote and panel discussion, while showcasing our leading Matter one-stop solution, innovative multi-protocol gateway, and the Aliro smart lock reference design co-developed with local customers. Rob Alexander, Principal Product Manager of Silicon Labs and Vice Chair of the CSA Board of Directors, together with Sky Liu, Sr. Manager, APJ Ecosystem of Silicon Labs and Vice Chair of the CSA China Member Group, along with our South China sales team joined on site to connect with industry customers, ecosystem partners, and developers. Their participation reinforced Silicon Labs' commitment to advancing the local Matter ecosystem and empowering developers with the technology and support they need.

  • The true measure of an outdoor IoT network isn't how well it connects, it's how well it performs as the network grows. Our latest whitepaper examines the performance metrics that matter most for large-scale Wi-SUN deployments, including network formation, recovery, latency, OTA updates, and scalability, with results validated on Silicon Labs' Large Test Network of more than 1,000 nodes. • India's Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) is helping drive one of the world's largest smart meter deployments, with a goal of transitioning 250 million conventional meters to smart meters by 2027. Meeting the associated service level agreements requires more than reliable connectivity. Utilities need communication networks that can consistently deliver low latency, rapid network recovery, efficient over-the-air updates, and predictable performance at scale. Our latest blog explores the network characteristics that matter most for utility-grade AMI deployments and explains why Wi-SUN FAN 1.1 provides a strong foundation for meeting India's smart meter SLA requirements. • Choosing the right compute architecture for edge AI is about more than peak performance. For many embedded applications, energy efficiency, deterministic latency, and memory footprint have a greater impact than peak TOPS. Silicon Labs is focused on helping developers build edge AI solutions that are efficient, scalable, and designed for real-world deployment. https://lnkd.in/gBtT7ec9
