I don't even believe in the "seeing an analyst" part of psychoanalysis. The couch is a ridiculous affect. To me psychoanalysis is like surrealism, something that happened 100 years ago you read about now, extract what you want

I knew someone with an insane temper who got into therapy and they trained her to squeeze her disproportionate rage through a seething language filter, like "I'm just asking for accountability" (visibly furious) I found this much worse. She has fibromyalgia now, big surprise
