The Burmese military's brutality and killing of children is abhorrent. CSO continues to convene experts and partners to shape the U.S. response to the obscene violence.

The United States is gravely concerned by reports of atrocities in Ethiopia's Tigray region. We strongly condemn the killings, forced removals, sexual violence, and other violations of human rights. The international community must work together to prevent further atrocities.

I commend the @UN_HRC for establishing an international commission of human rights experts on Ethiopia and call on Ethiopian authorities to allow full, independent, credible investigations and subsequent accountability mechanisms.

Attended a moving candle-lighting ceremony at the @HolocaustMuseum to remember survivors of religious persecution and start off this week's #IRFMinisterial at @StateDept. We must assure these heinous crimes are not forgotten, or repeated. @IRF_Ambassador #ReligiousFreedom @USCIRF

The U.S. calls for safe and unhindered access for @UN humanitarian and @UNHumanRights personnel. Without an end to human rights violations and abuses in #Ethiopia, there cannot be peace and stability. state.gov/condemning-eth…

We strongly condemn the unjust detention of Congressman @FreddyGuevaraC and harassment of Interim President @JGuaido in Venezuela. Venezuelans have suffered greatly under a regime that engages in repression and acts against any democratic efforts.
