SECOND IS NOW ON MAINNET.
Bark, our implementation of the Ark protocol, is available for anyone to start making bitcoin payments.
Included in the launch are our mainnet Ark server, the Bark SDK, and multiple wallets to try from day one.
On the Arké cover screen, tap the test tubes. The background will switch to the lab video and creating a wallet will create a signet one. Generally works just like a mainnet wallet.
This actually a really good demonstration of how Bark can operate in the background when doing Lightning payments.
The payment starts as an Ark VTXO. But the Lightning Network and the payment recipient are none the wiser.
It just works.
Now testing the Bark wallet + LDK client-side pathfinding using the typical number of Lightning hops (~3) instead of 1 or 2.
This would allow you to choose the route for your LN payment on-device and blind the LN gateway to the route.
Researching using @lightningdevkit's client-side payment pathfinding for Bark wallets.
Instead of relying on Bark's LN gateway to create a payment route, gossip data is pulled remotely and the route is computed on-device. The gateway is then handed a blinded onion to ship off.

The @secondhq team provides a demo of their new Bark plugin for BTCPay, and break down how it can help merchants enable Lightning and Ark payments without having to deal with channels or liquidity.
Here are some featured slides from our presentation:
Total transparency of who is hosting which part of the system, and where the money is flowing.
The fullness of your VTXOs + presigned exit paths live together with your @BtcpayServer instance, not on any remote server.

successfully completed two ark unilateral exits from noah wallet, powered by @secondhq
it took a while, and would have been quicker than a lightning unilateral exit (2 weeks) if i didn't forget about it half way
the complete on-chain exit used 25 transactions:
• 12 exit

@nwoodfine if you have the X handle of phreak that developed the plugin, please tag him; would love to follow that rockstar c# developer.

Watch @luca0x46 and I present the plugin which allows you to start accepting Lightning and Ark payments.
I prepared some very transparent flow-chart diagrams that show the VTXO move into your self-custody.
I love Lightning-receive on Ark.
