The Appfigures API
Use the Appfigures API to get your reports and account data. It’s a RESTful API, so anything that can speak HTTP and parse JSON can use it.
What’s Available
Section titled “What’s Available”You can get sales and ads data for your apps, in-app purchases, and books. You can also get ranks, reviews, and featured data for your apps. With the Public Data API add-on, you can get public data for other apps too.
The API also covers basic account management. You can create external accounts, view files from the archive, and manage events.
Quick Start
Section titled “Quick Start”Here’s where to find the API and how to authenticate. For working examples, see the code samples.
Location
Section titled “Location”The current version of the API is at https://api.appfigures.com/v2/.
You can authenticate in two ways:
- Personal Access Tokens: Use these if you only need data from your own account, such as for an ETL job or an internal dashboard. You generate a token in your account and send it with every request. It’s the simplest option.
- OAuth 2.0: Use this when other Appfigures users log in to your app to share their data. If you’re building an app for public use, you must use OAuth 2.0.
Either way, you’ll need to set up an API client.
OAuth 1.0 and HTTP Basic Authentication are deprecated. Don’t use them for new integrations.
Note: The API only accepts requests over HTTPS. Requests over HTTP will fail.
