sexual orientation labels, attraction, selfI label myself lesbian or sapphic because that's what I vibe the most with atm, but tbh I don't view that in a very strict way. It's more about the interpersonal vibe I associate with that, and I tend to find feminine features attractive and masculine features not. I can also find a non-feminine guy hot, and I find myself attracted to people for reasons detached from physical appearance as well, regardless of their (perceived) gender. When I started to discover my queerness I used to label myself bi, and I'd consider pan if I ever come across a guy I find myself attracted to personality wise who doesn't start transitioning after xD /hj (not that I have anything at all against more femmes :3 )
tl;dr: the universe is a hologram, attraction is a fuck, abolish categories and celebrate the wide spectrum of individual expression and so on
data sciencering my fedi data v2Since I randomly came across this again, and almost exactly one year has passed since, I thought why not do another round :D
Iceshrimp.NET doesn't have data exports like Mastodon does (yet), so I wrote another script that fetches all own statuses of an authenticated account via Masto API. (All but the first account, which I don't have anymore, was fetched this way.)
I also added the distinction between self-replies and replies to others.
re: chronic illness, ableism, facial masking, new Adam Something video@hsza@Li@LunaDragofelis please un-@ me if you want to start a separate discussion under my thread. thanks
chronic illness, ableism, facial masking, new Adam Something videoI could go on about how shitty his takes on the topic are. But I have vented enough. I'm very much willing to clarify things however, if anyone has genuine questions about it.
chronic illness, ableism, facial masking, new Adam Something videoOf course the video is supposed to be about leftist infighting and people derailing shit and being extremely unconstructive and counterproductive and assholes.
Except that, while the shitstorm against a queer bar loosening their masking policy which still stands in 2026 is obviously entirely blown out of proportion, THIS IS STILL A REAL FUCKING ISSUE
Yes, still requiring everyone to be masked in 2026 sounds really outlandish to someone who can afford to not care about it. But this just speaks for how rare community spaces that are safe for immunocompromised people have become – after having existed at all for only a short while because for once, everyone was affected due to no (widespread) availability of Covid vaccinations.
Guess what, immunocompromised people still exist, as they always have. Even though there are people being assholes online who are probably not themselves. By doing a little research before talking shit, one may find out that (while there is not a lot of clear data, so conservatively speaking) probably around 5% of the adult population are significantly immunocompromised (via intentional medical immunosuppression, or via conditions like AIDS, or as a side effect of cancer treatment for example).
And guess what, these people would also like to partake in, you know, LIFE. Apart from just surviving isolated at home. Probably you would be more aware of their existence if society didn't exclude them (us) so much from everything out of ignorance.
chronic illness, ableism, facial masking, new Adam Something videoOn a more serious note, this fucking hurt to watch as someone who lived through most* of the pandemic while being medically immunosuppressed, by having to abstain from almost all irl social things. While being 20-25 years old, yes. (Actually I was 17 when Covid stuff began.) But I statistically don't exist of course (according to his ignorant pov on this, that is).
(* I am no longer on immunosuppressants since ~2y ago, but may have to go back on them at any time if my uncurable chronic illness gets worse again.)
ableism, facial masking, new Adam Something videoSo I guess he's gone mask off huh. (pun and sarcasm intended, gotta cope with being thrown under the bus somehow)
