Opens NetActuate's listing in Claude's connector directory. Choose Connect; no sign-in details are needed.

On a company account? On Claude's Team and Enterprise plans an Owner adds connectors (on Enterprise, also a member whose role manages the organization's libraries). The Owner adds NetActuate once, for everyone; then each person finds it in Customize → Connectors and chooses Connect.

Owners: add for everyone
Or add it by hand

If the directory is turned off for your account, open the Add custom connector dialog with NetActuate filled in, or:

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector
  2. Name it NetActuate and paste the server address
  3. If it asks for authentication, choose No sign-in
  4. Choose Add

Owners add it for the organization under Organization settings → Connectors: Add, then Custom, then Web if asked. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

In a chat, NetActuate sits under + → Connectors, where you can switch it on or off.

Answers from NetActuate's own published data: data centers and specs, compliance by site, internet exchanges, products and pricing, marketplace apps, docs and API, each linked to its source page.

On a Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, adding a server may need an admin or owner.

ChatGPT keeps the tool list from the day you add the server. To pick up new tools after an update, open NetActuate in ChatGPT's app settings and choose Refresh; if the tools still do not change, remove it and add it again.

Good to know

What the server keeps, its limits, and where to get help.

Distances
Measured between city centres, so treat them as a guide, not a latency figure.
What it records
Each question (the tool used, what was asked and how many results came back), and for every request, including a visit to this page, the user agent: the name of the assistant or browser that sent it. Kept for 90 days. No IP addresses. See NetActuate's privacy policy.
Rate limits
Up to 5 requests a second from one client, with short bursts of 20; past that the server answers HTTP 429.
