Moved one client off of Vercel environment variables. Going back to my roots of storing encrypted secrets in MongoDB directly. Vercel just stores one encrypted env var: config URI to load from, and that URI has a strict IP whitelist

The big difference is that if you have an edge case or UI tweak for airtable and you're paying them only $500/mo, airtable will ignore you. At best you'll get some offshore support tell you they'll get to it Q2 2028 Remember the 2nd S in SaaS is for "service"
