Today is my first day at @GitHubNext! GitHub has been one of my favorite places to hang since I signed up 18 years ago(!), a mere month after its founding. Excited to join this talented team to try and figure out what comes next for our craft ...

"Everything is bad and slop and SaaS is dead" is such a tired tweet. Show us how it's done instead. Show us how to pay attention and care. If everything is bad and you know what's better, show us where, teach us how. Slop was always slop. Good shit is always good shit.

Do not succumb to the doom and gloom. Help your friends build. Give them a list they can hand to their agent to fix their projects. Tell them what you like, how to fix what you don't. Doom is a choice. Don't choose doom.

Every single project my friends show me has the same problems: 1. Bugs, crashes, memory leaks 2. Incredibly complex UI, a UX which has never had a human use it ever 3. AI design cliches 4. Awful, awful copywriting 5. They have psychosis and can't see any problems with it

On 18 January @mikker and I are teaching a one-day masterclass in agentic development in Aarhus. Setup, skills, prompts and workflows, so agents ship finished work. For developers and product people who build themselves. 12 seats, taught in English. produktland.dk/en/masterclass…
