  • Lavinia Mehedințu has been putting out some great content lately (including a new book released this week — L&D Rewired: How L&D Is Breaking Its Own Rules to Stay Relevant). We loved this post and image on learning behaviors. If we want employees to learn, we can't just create and push out content and call that a learning culture. We have to instill, recognize, and reward behaviors that cultivate a continuous culture of learning. Read Lavinia's full post here 👉 https://lnkd.in/p/eCqndCZZ

  • Your training survey comes back at 4.6 out of 5. Then a business leader asks what changed on the job. If your survey only asked whether people liked the session, there’s no answer to give. You’re not alone. In Association for Talent Development (ATD)'s 2019 research, 83% of organizations measured reaction, but only 38% measured business results. Closing that gap starts with asking different questions at different times: 1️⃣ Within 24 hours: Was the content relevant? Can learners handle a real scenario from the training? 2️⃣ At 30 days: Ask about the task, not the course. Dan Braithwaite’s version: “We taught you how to run reports, were you able to run reports afterwards? If not, why not?” 3️⃣ At 60 to 90 days: Did the metric that task drives actually move? Our new guide has the full set of questions by Kirkpatrick level, plus two survey templates you can copy today. • Evolve MCP is here. Connect Evolve to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot, describe what changed, and every course that mentions it gets updated. Which means it’s finally time to clean up the haunted wing of your course library: the “coming soon” banner for a feature that launched last year, instructions for a button that’s been green for two releases, and the “Questions? Email Pat” line, long after Pat moved on. Time to clean house. #InstructionalDesign #LearningAndDevelopment #CustomerEducation

Most training reports tell you who finished. Few tell you who got better. That gap was the focus of “What We Got Wrong About Readiness,” an HR Executive webinar with Mike Rich Head of Partnerships at Yoodli and Matt Gilley of Intellum. A few ideas worth adopting for any skills program: Baseline before you train. Score people on the real scenario first, then again after, using the same rubric. Report the lift, not the completion rate. Make practice personal but score it the same way. AI now lets each person practice their actual situation while everyone is measured against one standard. Pilot before you scale. Gilley talked a customer out of launching to 350,000 users at once and into a 350-person pilot. • Grace Sherman is a former education leader who now leads the team behind every customer implementation at Intellum. Her take on rollouts that go sideways: It’s due to decisions nobody made early enough. At our Amplified Virtual Summit, she shared the 5 decisions that matter most before launch: 1️⃣ Start with outcomes. Tie the program to retention, revenue, or time to productivity, not completions. 2️⃣ Choose user data on purpose. Your unique identifier is the hardest thing to change later. 3️⃣ Downsize before you move. Decide what to migrate, rebuild, or retire. 4️⃣ Name who decides. Expecting consensus drags projects out. Give each key decision one owner. 5️⃣ Design day one. “Here are 3 things for your first week” beats a 500-course catalog. Which of these did your team learn the hard way? For Grace, it was expecting consensus. Want to hear the full talk? Catch the replay here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eh3D3WXF #LearningAndDevelopment #CustomerEducation #LMS

  • Google Research let 12 teachers build custom classroom simulations with AI. They rated them 8 out of 10. The reason they were excited? Off-the-shelf simulations never fit their students. Every student got the same practice, whether it fit them or not. Workplace learning has the same problem. A new hire and a 10-year veteran often get the same scenario. So do a customer in their first week and a power user. Google’s new research experiment points to another path. A teacher names what they want to teach. AI builds a guided, interactive simulation for that class. The teacher approves it before any student sees it. The early results: ✅ Teachers rated their custom interactives 8 out of 10 on average ✅ 30+ teacher-vetted interactives are now in a free public library It’s still a K–12 science and math experiment. But the question it raises belongs to every learning leader: what changes when tailored practice stops being expensive to build? Our pick is onboarding, where one role-play rarely fits both a first-time manager and a seasoned one. Where would tailored practice make the biggest difference for your learners? • Your team already works in an AI assistant. Now Intellum works there too. With Intellum MCP connectors, people can use Intellum from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot: → Course creators build a draft course from a source document → Instructional designers update one page without touching the rest of the course → Admins enroll groups in courses → Learners ask questions and get answers that cite the source Everyone signs in with their own Intellum login, so your access permissions, admin controls and audit log apply to every request. Your AI assistant can only do what you can do in Intellum. 👀 Watch how it works in the video, and learn more here 👉https://lnkd.in/eBNVyMNK #CustomerEducation #AI #MCP #LearningAndDevelopment
