Could someone at Pinterest please take a serious look at what's going on? Hundreds of domains are being flagged as "spam" without any clear explanation, and creators are losing 80–90% of their traffic almost overnight. I run a Skool community of Pinterest marketers, and we're seeing this happen more and more. It's incredibly frustrating watching people spend years building their websites, only to suddenly lose nearly all their traffic without knowing why. Of course Pinterest needs spam filters, but something clearly isn't working properly. Most appeals get generic responses with no useful explanation. One of our members had to appeal literally 12 TIMES before a real person finally reviewed and unblocked their domain. And Pinterest claims to care about creators? Are these issues actually being investigated? Is there a reliable way to request a manual review? And can we finally get some transparency around these massive traffic drops? I think those are pretty reasonable questions.
Since this conference is about the ML systems actually powering Pinterest, I hope someone addresses what happens when those systems make the wrong call. Creators have been reporting sudden traffic losses, spam-related flags, and difficulty reaching meaningful human review. Those cases raise an important technical question: how does Pinterest measure false positives, and how quickly can the system recover when a legitimate publisher is incorrectly classified? That would be one of the most useful conversations Pinterest Engineering could have with the creator community right now.
Can you improve your spam filter which kills many genuine business by flagging legitimate business even when they practice all the community guidelines. I lost 4 Pinterest account due to spam filter and your support service is so lazy that they don't even give us genuine reply they send us same AI generated generic response every time. Many creator lost more than 90% of the traffic even when they follow all the community guidelines.
Yes please take a look. Impressions have been dropping on many accounts with no one addressing this issue. Feels to me that they just dont care are hoping this issue goes away with truly trying to fix it.
Cool. You guys gonna have a Spam Filter day too? Would be awesome if just one person on your team took the time to explain this long list of complaints about issues destroying your creators’ hard work.
