I spent a lot of time at Amazon and Uber as an IC engineer working with recruiters to screen resumes. Some of the most important work I ever did.
Made the teams around me that much better with great hires. I can’t imagine outsourcing this as a hiring manager.
I told my recruiter to send me all the resumes. No filter at all. He said it would be a lot of resumes. It was 50. I ended up hiring a very intelligent person who would have been filtered out for experience, and he was a star
