Is this really free forever?
Yes – the free blocks are free forever and nothing held back. An optional Asteris Blocks Pro adds advanced tools (a control layer + AI); the free blocks never change. We banked the decision in writing — the plugin stays free at every version.
What happens at v2.0? Will you start charging?
No. We make money from four other paid plugins (Asteris for WooCommerce, Asteris for WordPress, Asteris Cart, Asteris Affiliates). Asteris Blocks stays free regardless of how many users sign up.
Does it work with my theme?
Tested on Astra, Kadence, GeneratePress, Twenty Twenty-Five, and Storefront. Should work on any WP 6.4+ theme. Blocks are scoped to .asteris-* classes — no theme leakage in either direction.
How does it compare to Kadence Blocks or Stackable?
Comparable feature set. Different priorities: we prioritise fully-featured free blocks, schema markup baked in, and 100/100 accessibility. Pick whichever fits your workflow — both are good plugins.
Will it conflict with my page builder?
It’s built for the native WordPress block editor (Gutenberg). It won’t show inside Elementor / Divi / Beaver Builder — those have their own widget libraries. If your site uses a page builder, use the builder’s widgets there and Asteris Blocks for any pages built in the core editor.
