What is this blog about?
Hello! Astra here! Welcome to my website. As a creative outlet, I enjoy creating songs, poetry, and sharing joys of life. I’m very appreciative that you could spend your well earned time viewing my posts.
Why is the name of this website Astra V. Nova? It is a pseudonym that I created with the help of my friends. Astra derives from the term “Astro,” which means star. I prefer to imagine that I am only one star among a trillion others in the universe, waiting for the proper moment to shine. The word “V. nova,” in this case, is derived from “ANOVA,” one of my favorite statistical terms. V is just an upside-down “A” in this case. As a huge nerd of statistics, I find it fascinating how a test may simultaneously evaluate multiple mean types. I have many different variables in my life as an individual. I am shaped by all I have experienced, including difficulties, successes, and mediocre periods. Just like an ANOVA testing more than one variable with a 95% confidence level, I hope to showcase different parts of music/poems/joys. I hope over time, you, the readers, can find things relatable to my poem and/or find things that you connect with when reading my analysis.
This blog was made to express my love of different music comebacks and to establish a place/community to talk about anything music related. I publish poetry, song and album analyses, song rankings, and the quiet joys in life. Hopefully, you will find something on my blog that you share a common interest to.
A few ground rules on this blog:
1. All of my posts reflect my own personal views. Be polite while making remarks, even if you disagree.
2. Because this is a welcoming community, hateful remarks that are unrelated to the content will not be accepted and will be deleted.
3. Refrain from swearing in your comments.
4. Simply have fun!
5. Any constructive criticism is appreciated!
If you ever want to request a song/album for me to analyze or request an idea/concept for me to write a poem on, comment below on each post or DM me on Instagram. For business inquiries, email me at astra.v.nova@gmail.com. Thanks for stopping by!
