WELL I don't think my ego could take it but I probably could make a nice series called "wear your masks you assholes" that's just self-portraits from these sleepless nights

I swear I look less dead in natural lighting. Well, somewhat.

uspol-adjacent, minimalism and fascism

Minimalism is inextricably linked to fascism (and white supremacy, particularly historically in Europe). In LOTS of ways. It sneaks its way in because it's nominally anti-consumerism, but it's actually fundamentally capitalistic as we perform it because the assumption becomes that making do with less requires owning fewer, higher quality items and increased reliance on these, rather than sharing or doing without more directly.

Anyway I periodically point this chart out and I know in the US we put almost no value on art and aesthetics as meaningful drivers of policy and change, but I can assure you, the writing was LITERALLY on the millennial gray wall here .... and it's time for us to start about ten new art movements immediately and buy the colorful items off the rack.

Go watch Equilibrium. That came out in 2002. Doesn't our daily life look suspiciously like their dystopia? Real life didn't look like that in 2002 - there was color everywhere. This is a PROBLEM. Don't contribute. Don't obey in advance. Go put on some colorful clothes linked to your individual culture. This shift happened so fast and so completely that people have forgotten that home and personal items once all had unique ornamentation. Your hairbrush might have an engraving. You were surrounded by finials and cutouts and things. Now a lot of us live with wire shelving and plain walls. It's unhealthy, but more than that, it's a sign we've been convinced we now PREFER flat conformity over a unique aesthetic and that should ... concern us, in general.

I forgot to review the campbell's disney princess soup

allow this stolen photo to bring the experience to you

edit: well, I shouldn't be dismissive. The specialty soups cost the same, but because they don't want you to call because you can't tell what the shapes are, these pasta pieces are quite dense and firm, and do greatly improve the soup. ... accidentally XD
