Hi, I’m caede (they/any), author and artist of illustrated novels, occasional editor, and general do what I want because I can’t just be any one thing guy based in Montreal, Canada. Here’s my modern-internet-friendly list of links.
That’s kay-dee or kah-eh-deh, by the way.
This blog was born from two desires: One, to share knowledge and honest advice with other indie creatives. Two, to talk about stuff I like. I am no critic, not even a reviewer, really; I just have a need to talk.
Although I’ll write about whatever I feel like, the vague focus of my not-reviews is on novels and other text-heavy media, cool shit with transmasc characters, and overall neurodivergent and queer stories. Why yes, I am transmasc non-binary of the genderfluid variety and also massively AuDHD.
While I’m not actively soliciting for things to write about, if you or someone you know made something laser-targeted at me, tell me! I’m particularly into illustrated books, character-driven and dialogue-heavy stories, romance (lighthearted or fucked up), comedies (also lighthearted or fucked up), queer het, toxic yaoi where one kills the other for some reason, women who can and will destroy you, necromancers and other fun death freaks, and really anything made by people who are like “I just really love my blorbos, man”.

Sanctuary 17223 and The Absurd Theatre of Eric Hanada are the novel series I write and illustrate, and I think you should read them. They’re fun.
