Educational Webinars
I offer educational webinars through libraries, companies, and shelters on Zoom. I also speak in person at conferences like The Ultimate Cat Conference 2025. See below for more details.
Webinar: Decoding the Mysteries of Cats, or Why Cats Do What They Do
I explain cat behavior from the perspective of the evolutionary and adaptive forces that drive cat behavior and help shape their lives including the cycle of predation, the scale of confidence, the mother-kitten relationship between humans and cats and finally how food affects cats and our relationships with them. It's an educational and fun-filled experience with music, video, cartoons and more!
People with cat behavior challenges often have few places to turn so access to a behaviorist is very attractive. People always give great feedback to it and cat lovers really enjoy the opportunity to talk with a professional behaviorist!
Quotes:
“Surprising, informative, and just plain fun! I learned a lot from Stephen’s presentation. And that’s saying a lot coming from me :-)” — David Grimm, author of Citizen Canine: Our Evolving Relationship with Cats and Dogs.
"Stephen's presentations are thoroughly engaging and were universally praised by all who attended. The passion that he has for his work comes through in both (of his) programs. Everything was so informative and patrons are still raving about the events!" Sarah Snyder, Asst. Dir. Jacksonville Public Library
Webinar: The Dogs of Chernobyl: A Story of Hope and Resilience
In 2019 I was on a spay/neuter and research campaign for the dogs and cats that descended from the pets left behind after the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident. This rare look at Chernobyl, the dogs and people who continue to live there, features my photos and videos from the abandoned towns of Pripyat and Chernobyl City. A story of unexpected resilience, hope, and heroism, it is at times poignant, emotional and ultimately hopeful. Listen to a 3-minute interview I gave on NPR's Morning Addition about the experience.
If you are a library, organization or company and would like to book either of my webinars, please contact me at [email protected]
