CHCI Initiative at Willson Center announces Mellon funding of Penn Center partnership
Culture and Community at the Penn Center National Historic Landmark District – a partnership between St. Helena Island, South Carolina’s Penn Center and the University of Georgia Willson Center for Humanities and Arts – has received a $1 million grant from the Mellon Foundation to fund the second phase of its public humanities partnership.
CHCI Annual Meeting 2026 Registration is Open
Registration is now open for the CHCI Annual Meeting taking place June 1–5, 2026 at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada. Under the theme "Building the Present We Want" (program), this gathering brings together humanities scholars, center directors, and public intellectuals to explore how humanistic inquiry speaks to our most pressing challenges.
