On September 21, 1985, CHEJ convened a meeting in Arlington, Virginia to discuss how much cleanup is necessary at toxic waste sites. The meeting was called because of the confusion, controversy and difficulty in deciding amongst various interest groups how to determine an acceptable cleanup level.
