Reuben is a major antagonist in Chowder.
He is a con-artist who takes up multiple odd jobs around Marzipan City and can be seen scamming Mung Daal and company most of the time.
Appearance[]
Reuben is a pig-like character with a long, cylinder snout with a goatee.
He wears an emerald-green blazer with a lime undershirt and two green buttons. He wears a tall, emerald-green hat which splits into 5 parts. He wears dark green pants and leather sandals. He is extremely overweight.
Personality[]
Reuben usually speaks in a very calm, soothing tone and is very manipulative, cunning and haughty. He is shown to exhibit bias and hypocrisy, as seen in "Certifrycation Class" where he lets Ms. Endive pass his class in hopes to take her on a date, while simultaneously reprimanding Mung for following the same protocols, even going as far as to label him as a Recipe Pirate.
In "The Rat Sandwich", he blackmailed the gang into servitude by planting his rat friend in his sandwich he ordered from the Catering Company. He's willing to take advantage of anyone, including his rat friend. In "The Party Cruise", he tricked Mung Daal, Chowder, and Shnitzel into boarding a ship which he stole.

- In the episode "Certifrycation Class", Reuben acts as a teacher. He gives the chefs their assignments and teaches them about "Recipe Pirates".
- In the episode "The Party Cruise", Reuben stole a ship and posed as captain until Mung Daal discovered that he wasn't the actual owner. Aldershotz and Frump had wait until heaven to get their boat back.

- Reuben seems to have a love for sandwiches, likely inspired by the fact that a 'reuben' is also a type of sandwich.
- Reuben is voiced by and named after the late Paul Reubens, known well for creating and playing the role of 'Pee-Wee Herman' and for voicing Bat-Mite in Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
- Reuben has a crush on Endive. He may also be similarly attracted to Truffles.
- Reuben is allergic to mayonnaise, according to the episode "Certifrycation Class".
- Reuben suffers from minor PTSD after the great food war.
- Reuben is somewhat like Reuben from the "Lilo & Stitch" franchise. This character, like Chowder's Reuben, is named after a sandwich and loves sandwiches.
