The Comic Monstore is Rowan County’s premier destination for comic books, games and toys. Since 2003, The Comic Monstore has catered to fans of super heroes, fantasy, science-fiction and horror. While the store has a wide variety of collectibles for kids of all ages, it has also become a gathering place for gamers. Weekly events usually include Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Disney’s Lorcana TCG, Riftbound: League of Legends TCG, Star Wars Unlimited TCG, Pathfinder RPG, and a variety of other card games and board games.
The Comic Monstore opened in May of 2003. Conveniently located near exit 75, off of I-85, the shop is easy to locate. The store is owned by Ray & Karen Franks, and the store manager is Shane Peoples. If you are hungry, we are near several locations for food including Massimo’s Sandwich Shop, Culver’s, Wendy’s, Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant, and Ichiban’s Japanese Steakhouse.

The Mists of Ravenloft are rising once again, thanks in large part to Wizards of the Coast’s recently introduced D&D Seasons. This new initiative features seasons to promote new products and organized play events. Kicking off the new program is the Season of Horror, with the upcoming Ravenloft: The Horrors Within sourcebook as its centerpiece. Starting on June 7, Comic Monstore will offer game sessions on Sundays at 1pm and 6pm. Seats will be limited, so sign-up in advance.
