Outside of the Most Despair-inducing Event in History when he was 10 years old, Tristan had elementary and high school like anyone else and during his childhood loved going to school! He DID go to university for a bit after he turned 18, but dropped out at 19 and decided to just work instead.

Brazil is experiencing weird levels of ARG type stuff.

Last year there was a hijacking on the youtube transmission of an important news channel that was utterly bizarre, like, analog horror type stuff, check it out (embedded video):

Really fucking sick. I love this. It's important to note that this is not fake, edited or a marketing stunt. Someone invaded the stream to play this clip and I respect that so much.

As you can imagine, the bigger portion of the audience was scared shitless seeing this and I've seen a few of my friends saying that this made they feel deeply uncomfortable.

Still, I love me a good ARG man, even if this is not an ARG it's REAL. This happened in real life and I got to see it live, so cool.

Another incident happened yesterday at the ghastly hours after brazil demolished haiti on that friday game. A lot of people say they saw a civil warning announcement showing up on their phones (this happens sometimes when there is risk of natural disasters or extreme rain), but this time the popup showed simply:

Alerta Extremo:misantropi4

which means "Extreme Alert: misanthropy". I must say, this one was freaky. In terms of content, okay, it's a bit underwhelming, the message could be scarier even if I think the vagueness adds to it, but to me, the medium here is the real kicker. They got to send this to EVERY PHONE on the state, like, that's an amazing feat for sure.

This must have been a treat to see at 1am, sadly I was already asleep when that happened.

I'm very much interested in what's coming next in terms of real life brasil analog horror and I'll most likely post about it again! I really hope something big this time. I can already foresee the edm and breakcore albums titled "misantropi4" popping up on my youtube homepage, really awesome stuff.

Olá de Lisboa! (I'm in Lisbon right now for work...)

Thank you everybody who has tested on canary - I'm about to push the code up to stable. I know that not everything has been tested and there's a lot in this deploy, so I expect some things to break or be weird. We have ported a lot more of the "older" pages to the newer formats, so there will be some UI changes in a few places, but it shouldn't be anything too major.

Watch for: One thing I know will require tuning, we now have added rate limits (which basically allows us to control how rapidly DW pages are loaded.) This is a protection mostly designed against bots, but any time in my career I've rolled out new rate limits, I've learned someone is hitting them and they have to be tuned. So if you see them, please let me know!

Anyway please do comment and I'll work to fix things today. We also have a rollback ready in case we need to (and I'll be honest, I expect we may need to... we really should do more frequent deploys.)

Known Issues

Fixed: Search has gone walkabout.
Fixed: Some UI weirdness with Manage Tags.
Fixed: Login redirects are not working.
Fixed: Login page sometimes returning 'invalid form submission.'

Me hoping I just need to focus on the fun of writing/plotting b/c OH NO BRAIN, what do you mean we’re trying to talk ourselves out of an idea we are really excited about due to skill level like GURL NO IT’S GONNA BE OK I PROMISE xD

For context: I have a general timeline plotted out for Tristan’s 14DWY AU from beginning, to climax, to end, and now that I’m trying to plot out all the little stuff in between that leads up to different stuff and I’m wondering if it even matters that the game itself is still ongoing (it’s gonna be 7 days in total and so far up to Day 5 is out). Like I have an idea of where I want things to go and how I want things to end up for their ship so maybe that’s enough?

I feel like my brain is once again DOING TOO MUCH trying to throw me off the path of this b/c I’m already coming up with a lot of my own lore just off Tristan alone so maybe I can include stuff from the later days as needed if I deem it MEGA LORE IMPORTANT but hell my timeline in this damn fic don’t event match up with the original game so I’m trying to tell my brain IT’S GONNA BE OK LEAVE ME ALONE ISJFODODODODO

quickie, i have been listening to p4r's battle theme for over 10 hours on repeat and it gave me some motivation to pick up the pencil, i love how chessy p4's song lyrics are, they always lift me up

anyway, i started playing danganronpa 👍
i watched the stageplay last year, so it has been nice to learn more about the characters, girlie up there had like 4 lines total in the play so i didnt care much about her but i really like her in the game (a shame shes gonna die like 2 scenes next)

I spent the better part of the last two days fucking around with Obsidian. The program is pretty powerful, but my god, can it be obtuse at points. I downloaded it because I wanted an easier way to do solo TTRPGs, and upon further research, there's a whole shit ton of support for it made by the community. A guy has dedicated hundreds of videos just going through a bunch of different plug-ins for GMs. I would link to his channel, but unfortunately, he has a few videos on using LLMs as part of the creative process. I refuse to promote someone who encourages the use of the plagiarism machine.

When I finally said fuck it and moved on to actually using Obsidian to play, I had a blast. I played RILLEM by Ziggy Fox.

RILLEM is the first game in the Carta engine that I've played (to completion), and it's a lot of fun! The only downside is how much room Carta games take up since it requires standard playing cards to be spread out in a large grid (usually, it seems, in a 3x3). RILLEM in particular requires four grids to stand in as islands to explore. Playing with a mix of a digital map and physical cards definitely eased the burden of the amount of space required.

The game itself wears its inspiration on its sleeve. It's atmosphere and plot draws heavily from the Myst series. RILLEM handwaves the puzzles, fortunately, favoring matching "key cards" (Spades) to "lock cards" (Diamonds), leaving the player to justify from a narrative perspective on how the puzzle and solution fit together. Your goal is to find three of these matches, four "clues" associated with your chosen scenario, and make it back to the central tower by the end of the third day (tracked by usage of depleting tokens) when the world crumbles away. There are two other ways the game can end, which include exploring every card on the map and failing to do meet any of the previous goals.

I will say, my play through was wildly lucky. Even losing so many in-game hours to bad landings, my player character Masego managed to find several key cards. I think he got five by the time he found three puzzle cards. By the end of day 2, he matched the three locks and keys, as well as stumbl the "Prisoner clues." The Prisoner I chose was the "Stranded Man," who's flavor is that they were locked away in Rillem long ago and have been there so long that they've had a mental break and are hunting the player in hopes of escaping. IIRC, this is more or less the same story line as the second game in the Myst series. Anyway, start of day 3, Masego is freaked out enough from being hunted by the Stranded Man that he does the ritual to leave the Prisoner behind.

The bits of prose I wrote for this play through took on a life of its own, and have made me interested in exploring Masego's world (outside of Rillem) more.

Maybe I'll clean up the prose and post it later.

This game has also made me want to pick up the Myst series in earnest. A family friend let my brother and I mess around with Myst Revelations when she came to visit us, even going as far as to give us her physical copy. I unfortunately don't have it any more, but it looks like Steam has the whole series. The next time it goes on sale, I'll pick up the whole set. Or at least, Revelations.

I got no idea what I want to write in this entry, but yayyy today it's the twins' birthday!!
The official bday tweet for Kako was her saying she was gonna give Ima a pillow lap & pat his head as a gift, moenuke to levels never seen 💥 Been thinking about it all day. And Ima's said Kako was already the bert gift he could receive 💜💜💜 They make me sick, i love u.

Ever since I saw their birthdate, I joked that they had to put a wall between them (619) to avoid the twins having sex all the time dfsfsdf
But apparently 6.19 is Romance day in Japan & Kiss day in America?? So it couldn't be more fitting for them hehe.

My history with Imakako is kinda funny, did you know I used to dislike the ship at first??
That used to weird me out because they seemed like a pairing made just for me, and I loved both characters on top, but I just couldn't fully click with it.
But I continued to play... I saw more of them... They slowly took over my brain....
And well, you know where I am now lol <- dissapeared from this site for months & returned only making post about them.
One thing I'm very glad about shipping them is that their colors are my favorite combo, aikoto ryoshu i love u but I can't stand your deep blue + yellow combo lol. Finally I like an Aesthetic ship ldjlfjf.

I wish I had something to celebrate, but the closest I got is this doodle I did the other day to try out a new brush :p
One of the things I had prepared was a Blender model of them in claymotion style, but I couldn't finish it in time

Anyway, I'm kinda sad I can't celebrate their birthday with the fandom this year, I had a few things prepared to do with everyone and all, but I hope everyone will be here as well in 2027.
I'm glad everyone involved in the game seems to want to keep HNDR alive for as long as possible, I can't wait for the 💜🩷 scenario in the stageplay, it's so close and so far...

And overall, I'm glad the imakako fans are all so nice 🙏
I just wish we weren't 10 people in total in the ENG side & everyone's tastes are too extreme for me lol
But it's fun. I sadly had a stumble with 2 fans and they're very active and kinda hate me now, so I'm kinda 50/50 on whenever to join servers to not make them uncomfortable but kjfkdjg

That aside I had a very good time, when I get therapy ~~(still havent had the courage to go bc i have to tell my family)~~ and return to Twitter I will try to meet more people, overall the HNDR fandom is very chill and nice :) My circle is very small rn.
And the CN imakako side is amazing as well, I wish I could buy everyone's merch!! 😭😭 So cute, so talented....

I have been busy and now I have like 3 posts to write today lol
Anyway, I'm not sure if I told it over here but the other day DR was on sale for a single euro, which means even a girl like me with €5 to her name could buy it.
Soooo, I started to play it yesterday! (claps) (everyone cheered) Just took me 14 years to start the series lol.

I'm only at the very start, but it has been fun so far! I thought that watching the stageplay last summer would spoil the experience a bit but since you can't add everything in a 2-hour play pretty much everything I have played so far has been new? Either that or I don't remember the stage's details haha.

It's a different experience than playing blind, but I'm ejoying it too. It's fun to see how the characters look like in-game (as I expected, the costumes were pretty close) and also Junko's sister & Sayaka were on stage for like 5 minutes so it's nice to spend a bit more time with them (even if the former is just playing a charade)
With Junko's sister in specific, I remember she just Vanished after the initial meeting & that confused me, I wonder if she will be more present in the game itself.

- I really like how the whole setting is a theater diorama, I didn't expect that. Moving around the school too, the aes reminds me of Tartarus P3 kjksf.
- The pixels in front of everyone's bedrooms are cute.
Monokuma's voice is more cutesy than I remembered.
- I like how the UI colors change between day and night.
- AH and the executions; in the stage a bunch of Monokumas simply appeared and impaled the culprit, but it seems they got another ones in-game so I'm curious about seeing them.
- It's fun to see what carried over to HNDR too. I keep going "aah so this is the same" "x talks the same way as y" "so that was a reference" ldjdlp

I only played the prologue & initial meeting so I don't have too much to say rn, but that's pretty much all.
Mentioned it before, but í hate how negative the DR fandom is towards the series (at least that's how it looks like as an outsider) so I will probably stay away from it and just post whatever on this blog.

2026 isn't being my year so I'm not very. Motivated? Idk I just don't feel like doing anything since the past months. But I will try to pop up every now and then to update on my progress with the game 👍

Thanks to my random ass title I learned that there’s not a bag of chips emoji and it’s like WHO THE HELL DECIDED THAT?? xD

Anyways, lately when I describe certain elements of Tristan’s past in his 14DWY AU and I don’t necessarily wanna give spoilers, I’ve taken to calling it a Series of Unfortunate Events and for some reason that just tickles me. xD

Could I drop bread crumbs for the curious? Perhaps. Am I too self-conscious to do that b/c it’s not that deep and the only person reading it is me? YEAH…😔

I (surprisingly) found some time to write today and it healed a little something in me. This week has been ROUGH (for lack of a better word), and being able to take my mind off it was nice. Now that I’m in my 3-day weekend (HAPPY JUNETEENTH, Y’ALL 😘❤️), I’m hoping I can process a thought that isn’t work-related and be glad in it.

Enough of that, I’m gonna go have some enrichment time aka lay under my weighted blanket with my Arizona tea and Persona 5X. 🥰 (*passes you some through the screen*)

J'avoue que je commence à me méfier du patriotisme au niveau où, dès que la Coupe du Monde sera terminé, je le sens nécessaire d'avoir à réviser mes principes et de commencer à vraiment en vivre de nouvelles.

Par contre, ça fait vraiment chaud au coeur de voir tellement de moments historiques pour les équipes africaines durant les matchs qualificatifs :') le premier but du Congo, surtout, ça me donne de l'espoir. En fin de compte, je veux le bonheur des africains avant tout. Quoiqu'il arrive dans les matchs qui suivent, j'aurais quand même été satisfaite de voir les gens des pays comme le Cap Vert et le Congo célébrer le fait d'avoir tenu contre des équipes européennes qui ont été mondialistes bien plus longtemps.

So I got scammed. Some people told me they would give me money and I accepted, now they are asking me to do all kinds of stuff for it. What is that? How is this legal? What do you mean I have to work?????w Chinese goverment give me back my shrimp farm. THe chinese goverment took my shrimp farm now I'm homeless. I'm getting my lawyers involved you are not getting away with this. I will have justice. Xianmen hospital forcibly gender transitioned my grandma. I have two grandpas now, they are still happly married. I want my shrimp farm back.

I hade my first project presentation yesterday about my graduation project. It was supposed to be 'just' a session with my project advisor and the other teacher assigned to grading the projects. What happened was: I was anxious the whole day and couldn't do anything till the 20:30h where we were supposed to start. The presentations got delayed (obviously, it's me we are talking about) and I ended up losing 16 or so minutes. ouch.

Still, I got to present my stuff with plenty of time. The presentations finished much later than expected, I was out by 10pm and had to eat dinner still. I was really hoping I could be out by 9pm so I could at least play some games before bed, but I guess that was a distant, impossible dream at that point (I played like 3 hours of pokemon before the event).

Working at a school is at the same time very laid back and very chaotic. The students were doing an online exam so my presence was being requested all over the school to fix all the "well just restart the computer" problems. It was fine, some students were making funny things to get my attention but they were overall pretty chill.

I kinda miss my old shit job, not because I liked it, but because my coworkers were funny as hell. We would flip the screen of the computer someone was using when they would get up to do something else; We used to stick the mouses and keyboards up in the wall, as high as we could, and fix them there with adhesives, so someone would be very amazed when they came back to their floating setup. It was fun. I miss installing the Nicolas Cage browser extension at my friend's computer, so she would search for kpop groups and be met with a lot of Nicolas Cage pictures.

Well, idk if I'll ever have fun at my job like that again, but all things considered the school is pretty chill.

I'm nearing the end of the semester at college so I will finally be free for a bit. My classes are already a lot sparser than normal because it's the fucking world cup.
