About Confluence Magazine
Confluence is a literary magazine from Wordsmithery.
The Wordsmithery live lit organisation and publisher has been active in the Kent literary scene running fun literary projects including The WordShed (Fuse Festival 2013), The Word Shelter (Margate Festival 2016) and The Admiral’s Tea Party (Paint the Town Festival 2017) since 2010. This magazine showcases the best of what Medway and Kent writers have to offer.
Confluence was first published in August 2016 as a limited edition Risograph printed A4 zine, Issue 2 was produced as an online only version linked to our regular text-art project An Assemblance of Judicious Heretics, then two more Risograph printed issues, (3 and 4), were produced.
We are delighted that as part of our Arts Council England funded Confluence: Plant; Grow; Nurture project, we were able to redesign the magazine, as well as begin to let people in other parts of the country (the world even!) know about Confluence.
We currently have no external funding and rely on subscriptions and sales to be able to publish the magazine. So if you like what you see – please consider subscribing or buying an issue. Thanks!
