The brief cheat sheet to creating for me is as follows: please don't give me abusive relationships, gender-based humiliation (including forced feminization and involuntary/punitive sexswap), character death, bigotry/discrimination, mundane AUs (coffeeshop, high school, etc.) or unrequested dub/noncon.

I do like porn and if you are into that you should go for it; i'm especially fond of power dynamics during sex and of the exploration of how erotic experiences work for nonhuman characters, whether or not that looks like human sex. If porn is outside your comfort zone please don't push yourself to do it—the most important part is always the emotional dynamic between the characters, not the squishy bits. But if you do enjoy creating porn the squishy bits are a great bonus (and an interesting place to display that emotional dynamic).

Other things I'm fond of include adventures, exploring the characters' world, hurt/comfort (especially for battle injuries), obvious demonstrations of affection where nobody says "i love you" out loud, and fantastical AUs (magical circus? space opera? post-apocalypse? er, where that's not already the case...).

My requests are suggestions, not demands! If you have an idea already, or an idea that starts with one of my requests and wanders off in its own direction, that's great and I can't wait to see it. As long as you steer clear of the DNWs in the first paragraph, everything else has a lot of wiggle room.

What I'm most interested in here is not their young war hero adventure days but what happens with them later, when they've Been Through Shit and the crisis with Rigour has happened, and now they're older and (maybe?) wiser and trying to figure out how to be functional people in this new version of the Golden Branch. Together. Optional: Jamil Quartz-Noble is absolutely welcome to be part of this ship if you're on that train.

CUTE BOYFRIENDS, gosh. I'd love to see that off-screen hookup in Rosemerrow that gave Lem the boyfriend +1 forward. Also how does kissing work when one of you has intimidating scrimshawed tusks and the other doesn't? Does Emmanuel ever stop being exasperated with his adorable but absurd boyfriend?

Adelaide Triste/Hella Varal
Dreams and hauntings, Adelaide as the consequence Hella can't escape—but does she want to? tbh you could go to some interesting psychological horror places here with Hella not sure if she's seeing a ghost or a figment of her own imagination. Hallucinatory and weird would be fantastic here.

Hadrian & Hella
Please no sexual content/sexual tension for this one. I'm just so fascinated by the way they've become important to each other not despite but *because of* their opposing moral views, and that struggle between personal and philosophical is so crunchy and delicious. In battle against a common enemy? Doing some patching-up afterward? Arguing about whether one of them made the right call in a situation they've gotten out of?

The Magnus Archives

Terrible things happening everywhere like dang. I'm up to date and listening as each episode drops; feel free to use developments in January's episodes if they inspire you, but also don't panic if episode 90 or 91 josses something you were already working on. I'm expecting any gift in this fandom to be pretty dark but I'd still appreciate it if you could manage to not kill anybody. Er, any tagged characters. Background character death is fine.

This is the only fandom where I don't want art; I don't have a visual impression of any of the characters and I'm enjoying that ambiguity.

What does Michael want out of a sexual and/or romantic encounter? What is it after? What does it do? How unsettling is it to be on the other side of that attention? Are there ways to limit the danger, or does one just have to trust that it won't be as terrible as it's capriciously capable of being?

things with Elias
What's Elias's long game, and how is initiating a relationship with Jon part of it? is it all manipulation or is he capable of normal emotions? What is his deal, anyway? We know the Archive is associated with the force/faction/power of Beholding; is Elias an extension of that force, and does he have possessive feelings about Jon as a central instrument of the Archive's mission? Do all of these questions need to be solved by banging Jon over his desk?

Are they cooperating? Is Jon playing them against each other? Are they competing for Jon's allegiance and/or body? IS THIS THE MOST TERRIFYING WAY TO HAVE AN ORGASM THAT ANYONE HAS YET DISCOVERED?

Mary Kaey/Gertrude Robinson
Fencing with words becomes flirting becomes...? Again the questions of whose allegiance lies where are fascinating. They don't seem to be on the same side and yet they could be much worse enemies than they are. Does one of them try to seduce the other to get access to a Leitner or some other artifact in the other's possession? Does Mary come back to give more "statements" on increasingly frivolous (or increasingly terrifying, or intimate) subjects until Gertrude realizes it's personal?

Gerard Kaey/Jonathan Sims
My first thought here was Gerard turning up to Georgie's apartment looking for Jon because Reasons. Sure, he's supposedly dead, but there have been plenty of other people whose rumored deaths turned out to be greatly exaggerated. Maybe he's offering help. Maybe he needs help with something he's trying to accomplish. Maybe he's bringing Jon tapes. Then I trail off into "??? > Profit" territory but maybe you can help me with the next steps.

Martin Blackwood/Jonathan Sims
Ok so there are two things I want with these guys: I want Martin to be ok and I want Jon to acknowledge his ability (and worth as a human being, lbr). The show might give me the second but it's not going to give me the first. So fanfiction, you are my only hope. Maybe they work a case together and Martin has the right skills/knowledge to crack some important mystery? Maybe they realize they've both been claimed by different powers and have to figure out how to negotiate those alliances? Or maybe you want to skip the sticky how-they-got-here parts and move straight to adorable-and-weird domesticity, and Martin's pet tarantula patrolling Jon's library of esoteric records. Spooky happy endings would be great.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn

A great game with so many great characters. And like, some of my best friends are beorc, but it's the laguz who interest me most here. Their cultural traditions, their histories, their habits. Their hotness, um. ...And obvs. the stuff with the Branded is a massive and rich vein of Feelings and Issues to deal with. So.

Tibarn/Reyson
I love me some birbfriends and I will keep asking for them until I get some fanwork for them. I just. gosh. Big butch warrior leader + delicate femme firebrand, yes. I love Reyson's ferocity so much, and I love that Tibarn clearly appreciates it a lot even while he's trying to keep Reyson from destroying himself with his own intensity. I love that Reyson is the least "heron-like" heron we meet, given that they're supposed to embody Order and he's this agitated bundle of fury. I'd love to see them being kinky bastards together (that time when Tibarn jokes about tying Reyson to the bed? yeah, I'm there). I'd love to see them supporting each other after the wars are over. Also I've seen a short fic exploring a world where Reyson never forgave the beorc and Tibarn is waging a bloody war on his behalf, and I'd be really interested in more of that, too.

Nailah/Rafiel
We get so little time with either of these two and I'd love to see you expand on basically anything dealing with them. Rafiel seems to be the calmest and most demure of the heron sibs; how did he and the wolf queen come to realize they were actually compatible and drawn to each other? We also know so very little about Hatari that I would love to see you expand on the place and its customs and its people, maybe in the course of Rafiel getting to know this new place where he's found himself...? Maybe some kind of Hatari festival occasion, the first celebration they've shared together? They're just such a good study in contrasts that complement each other.

Sephiran/Zelgius
Ok so liege/knight is already a dynamic I love, and then you pile on all the terrible backstory and wow yes, ouch. I'd love to see something that drew on Lehran's complicated and wounded feelings about the Branded and how their history has played out, and how that history and responsibility affects the way he treats this brilliant young warrior who confided a dangerous secret in him. And on the other hand there's Zelgius devoting himself deeply to the man who learned what he is and didn't reject him despite everything everyone says about the Branded.... in a lot of ways it's a ship where *what* they are is more important to both of them than *who* they are and that's tragic and I want to roll in it. Art-wise I would love a piece where we can see Zelgius' brand, whether that's in the moment where he first reveals it to Sephiran or some later intimate moment. Touching that mark of outcast-ness feels tremendously intimate to me.

NieR: Automata

What a beautiful melancholy robot apocalypse. I love all the struggles on everyone's part to make sense of the humans who came before them and whose legacy is all around them, and their attempts to find meaning in the world that's left.

Smut note: We know that when they're first created Adam and Eve don't have genitals. But we also know that bodies are alterable and customizable rather a lot for all these characters. If you want any of these characters to have human-like sex, I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with them going through the motions and not getting the point, or with them expressing intimacy in inhuman ways (such as hacking or battle), or with them attempting human sex and discovering that it's not working for them as well as other methods of connection. Basically the whole range of possibility is good.

2B/9S
Some of the bad endings could set up interesting shipfic—how about grabbing one of them and using it as a starting point for 2B and 9S making each other more of a priority than the mission? Adventures and fishing for weird things and discovering fragments of the past away from the endless, pointless war they've walked away from, and starting to figure out their feelings for each other, too.

Or: Consider the intimacy of hacking, and of 9S being able to get in and reconfigure 2B's system. Consider how massive the possible changes seem to be, given that sidequest with the deserter couple. Consider how much trust that has to require. Optionally, consider all the things that 2B knows she's done that 9S doesn't know about: does he encounter black boxes in her memory that he can't access? Does he have programming of his own that forcibly turns his attention away from worrying about that?

Or, how about Five Times 2B Killed 9S and One Time ________ (She Let Him Live? He Killed Her Back? something else?) Obviously, uh, exception to the character death DNW here.

Adam/9S
This is kind of a smutswap prompt, but then I assume if you offered this pairing you've seen the relevant part of the game and. WELL. How about that android battle fever, huh? The one that causes violence to stimulate the pleasure centers that a human would get from love and sex? Does it just come from DOING the violence, or is RECEIVING the violence also part of the package? Please make that crucifixion every bit as kinky as it looked, with power-hungry fascination on Adam's part and involuntary pleasure on 9S's.

Adam/Eve
During the game: Adam is so fascinated with the legacy humans have left behind and with placing himself in relation to it, while Eve seems to just want a) to do things that feel good and b) to have Adam's attention. What might Eve do to get Adam's attention? Is he more the type to track down some interesting relic to impress Adam, or more the type to push things off the table like a kitty when he's being ignored? (Also, hey Adam, you know what else humans did? Relationships and intimacy. Let's try it, yeah?)

After Ending C/D: Where are they going? What's the journey like? Without the distraction of humanity's legacy, is Adam more attentive to Eve? What's it like for Eve to wake up to the discovery that a) he still exists and b) so does Adam? How does he process all the rage and grief that he went through when he lost Adam?

That was all very narrative-focused, so have an art thought: Adam and Eve start out looking identical and diverge more every time we see them, defining themselves as visually distinct and expressing who they are through how they look. I'd love to see an alternate set of costumes for them that played with this tendency, where they're both dressed as "the same thing" (pirates? vampires? mech pilots? circus performers?) but their versions of the concept show off their very different personalities.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2

Hotsuin Yamato is a really unfortunate combination of my pings, okay. He's a buttoned-up cranky military type AND he doesn't know how to human. ... AND not knowing how to human means he says things like "You yearn for me, as I yearned for you." Kiss him, bunnyboy.

You could set this during any route, or after any route where it makes sense; I like the crisis backdrop but also having Yamato awkwardly learn about mundane things is cute. Fluffy & cute options: introducing Yamato to more "peasant food"; dragging Yamato off on vacation; more ordinary pastimes (video games?). Serious business options: training for battle, with demons or without; making plans to deal with the next threat; patching up injuries with their dwindling supplies. Sexy options: something to distract themselves the night before the final Septentrionne; keeping quiet so the rest of JP's isn't talking about it at breakfast the next day; Yamato has no experience but he also has no shame. Mix and match at will!

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

My forever demon apocalypse <3 Please don't give me an AU where the Conception doesn't happen, is all I ask; the setting is so compelling to me in so many ways. I prefer Kashima Naoki as the Demifiend's name. Dub/noncon is ok for any pairing in this fandom, with the stipulation that a struggle for control seems much more likely than anyone being helpless and purely victimized. Also Charm is the best status effect ever.

Futomimi/Demifiend/Sakahagi
Hello yes I would like a murder doll sandwich please. Yes? Good, yes. I love the scraps of the manikins' backstory that we get in the Labyrinth, and I love the issues of free will (and thus consent) that we get with demon summoning, and I love the creepiness of the manikin designs, and if you nominated this ship I'm glad you're in fandom. This feels like it would be such a WHO IS DRIVING threesome as the power dynamic refused to settle in one direction, and that's delicious.

Demifiend/Chiaki OR Isamu OR Lucifer
Representatives of various choices Naoki could make! (Sorry, Hikawa, I can't get past the jacket and the terrible hair, you're not invited.) How do any of them try to sway him to their cause? Is it eerie? Is it sexy? Is it compelling enough to make him listen? Demon forms are great, Naoki kinking on the magatsuhi in his human(ish) friends is great, any threesome you can build out of these pairings is also great. Naoki being sort of alien and weird and forgetting how to human is also great. Post-any ending (but especially Neutral) and Naoki going "nah, this isn't good enough, let's destroy the world again," with or without encouragement: yes. Art-specific suggestion: xeno-related body worship/body kinks, sucking on Chiaki's terrible claws, fingering one of the mouths in Isamu's torso, delicious size difference with Lucifer, and so forth.

But basically just NOCTURNE FANWORKS. I have a lot of love to give.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

This is also a pretty good demon apocalypse, I gotta admit. Having the perspective of the kids for whom this hellscape is *normal* was a really cool choice.

Gaston/Hallelujah
I am so in love with these two NOT being the Law Hero and Chaos Hero who are destined to become mortal enemies after being allied at one point. It's just so good? That they learn to support each other despite starting off badly at odds? And their contrasts in role remain so good, and I want them to be awkwardly but determinedly boyfriends after the Peace/Bonds ending. Doing rebuilding and alliance-building work, making time for each other in the middle of shaken-up, busy lives. ...And I want Gaston, despite himself, to find Hallelujah's demon form really attractive. Which is probably really weird for Hal, though maybe awesome, given how much time he's spent hiding what he is.

Flynn/Krishna
I am hoping for something dark and mindfucky with this one. Crucified Flynn in the Divine Powers' custody, trying to hold onto his sense of self and his belief that there will be a way out of this mess, and Krishna coming to see him, calling him Kalki, urging him to become the destroyer that the Powers need to achieve their goals. It's really intimate and personal for Krishna and really unsettling for Flynn, whether or not it gets overtly sexual. If it does get sexual, dub/noncon is fine here (and would frankly make more sense than meaningful consent), though I'd prefer creepy, unwelcome intimacy over violence.

Dagda/Nanashi
There are so many potential dynamics here depending on Nanashi's attitude and all of them are fascinating. Nanashi feeling weird complicated gratitude toward the god who gave him a second life, and not sure how to express it? Anarchy-leaning Nanashi welcoming Dagda's power and wanting to know more about it and draw out the god riding around in his body? Peace-leaning Nanashi trying to resist or ignore Dagda's suggestions until Dagda starts insisting? (Remember Dagda can take over the body if he wants to; he does it a couple of times if you make choices that would prevent important plot moments from happening.) Secrecy and power and strangeness are keys here. Again, if you want to explore dub/noncon themes for this pairing it's welcome; Dagda's interest in Nanashi's volition only goes so far, and that could definitely lead to trouble.

Isabeau/Shesha
Man, there was some cool nominating going on this year. The thing that immediately strikes me with this one: Shesha knew they would be called on to act the part of a human hero, but nobody mentioned the part where they would also be called on to act the part of a human boyfriend. You could absolutely play this for comedy and hijinks if you want to, though I'm bad at that so I don't have concrete suggestions. You could also play it for creeping horror and alarm on Shesha's part at not knowing how to do this and possibly not finding human intimacy at all palatable. Please don't do noncon/dubcon victimizing Isabeau, beyond the inevitable degree of "she's not with the person she thinks she is"; I don't want to see her getting (further) traumatized.
