I am me. Too much to that to explain it all in any single page, even to give highlights.
To do the all too common listing of attributes, I am much more than a bi, poly, kinky, pro-choice, feminist, activist, space-science oriented girl geek.
My parents told me I could be anything when I grew up. I've chosen to be a helicopter, a sysadmin, a lunar rover, a project manager, a humvee reupholsterer, a field cook, an activist, a radio operator, a firetruck, a unix support ninja, an isp tech support superhero, a florist, a lab monitor, a cashier, a boot-and-hat salesperson, an assistant teacher, a camp counselor and a nanny.... so far.
I go on exciting (and boring) adventures to places most people wouldn't think of going. I also like staying at home cuddling my cat and/or sweeties. I'm not single, but I *am* available. My adventures have recently taken a new turn - I'm moving towards the next big one, which involves finding stability and redefining things a bit.
I believe that family is a terribly important thing, and I choose who I call family. I am one of six kids and adore all of my siblings. I started this century with 3 dads, but am down to one now. I'm both happy and sad about that. I've also gained a not-Mom, which is an adventure in itself.
I tend not to post my day to day life in my LJ, unless I'm traveling somewhere interesting enough that I think it's worth reading and remembering. I also don't necessarily post a lot of details about my life. If you're curious about something, feel free to ask me.
I love to chat with folks, IM is generally the best way. Feel free to send me a hello if I'm online, but please don't be offended if I don't respond right away or if I wander off mid-conversation. I may be at work, or I may be dealing with people sharing my oxygen wanting my attention. I will almost always come back to the conversation (and try to end it first, but realize that I don't always).
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature.... Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.
