Who is David Vana?

I’m a creative problem solver with a box full of hats I’m not afraid to wear. Whether it’s negotiating a $24 million recapitalization with 20 different debt holders, re-engineering product development and manufacturing resulting in $3 million of savings and a six month reduction in time-to-market, or restructuring sales and operations to cut expenses by 20% while more than doubling sales, I address problems with tenacity and pragmatism.

You might say I’ve never met an industry I didn’t like. I’ve led everything from product development and finances at an offender monitoring technology company to finances, operations, and technology at an online beauty company. In between have been ecommerce, construction, financial services, communications, security, software, and technology services.

Oh, and about those hats. I have them in an array of styles, including strategic planning, finance, accounting, legal, contract negotiation, process re-engineering, product development, sales and marketing, and technology development. I can swap them out at a moment’s notice or balance several of them at a time.

A few other things I’ve accomplished with those hats:

◆Raised over $30 million equity capital.
◆Completed sales and operational restructuring that reduced expenses by over 35%; Sales grew by 82% compounded annually over the ensuing three years.
◆Carried out financial and operational restructuring of a $6 million ecommerce retailer and successfully negotiated its sale.
◆Designed, configured, and implemented several ERP data warehouses, and executive reporting systems.
◆Led the evaluation, negotiation, and acquisition of a $3 million service provider and the successful 4-month integration of operations with the parent company.
◆Developed an international market, negotiating and winning contracts in North America, Caribbean, and South America.
◆Led design, development, and implementation of SOX and SEC compliance policies and procedures.

Oh, I also make great coffee!
