The DC4ME VA Loan Product is a VA mortgage product offered by the District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency (DCHFA). In addition to the traditional VA benefits, like no down payment and no monthly mortgage insurance, this product includes 3% assistance, funded by DCHFA, that can be used toward eligible closing costs or prepaid items. This makes the DC4ME VA Loan Product one of the most affordable and accessible loan options for qualified military-connected borrowers.

The District of Columbia Housing Finance Agency is celebrating its 45th year of serving the housing needs of Washington, D.C. residents. The DCHFA was established on March 3, 1979 to stimulate and expand homeownership and rental housing opportunities in the District. During its 45 years, the Agency has funded the development of more than 50,000 units of affordable housing throughout the District’s eight wards. In 2023, the Agency’s issuer credit rating was raised from “A+” to “AA-” by Standard and Poor’s (S&P), noting DCHFA’s “financial strength.”

DC Open Doors makes homeownership in Washington, D.C. affordable by offering qualified buyers home purchase loans, down payment, and closing cost assistance. With deferred repayable loans and below-market interest rates, the program supports home purchases in the District of Columbia for both first-time and repeat buyers.
