• Participation

 

    1. All the participants should be enrolled in one of the following institutions:
      1. PES University Ring Road Campus
      2. PES University Electronic City Campus
      3. PES Institute of Medical Sciences and Research
      4. PES University Hanumanth Nagar Campus
      5. The Amaatra Academy, Bangalore
    2. All the participants have to register on Devpost first, and one of the participants (the leader) shall add teammates.
    3. Each Team shall have 2 to 4 members each.
    4. There is no participation fee.
    5. All the participants should register and be part of a team by 4:00PM 10th June, 2020. 




 

  •  Set-up

 

      1. All participants are recommended to have access to a computer with a stable internet connection.
      2. All the teams are required to use Discord for communication.
      3. We want to promote OpenSource, so the participants are recommended to use open source software
      4. The teams shall upload their project on Github and follow the submission guidelines here

 

  • Themes
  1.  Make ends meet! 
    1. Due to Covid19 a lot of small scale businesses, startups have been hit badly. Provide a sustainable solution focused on this problem.
    2. The solution could include automation, streamlining delivery etc. for small business owners.
  2. Stable state
    1. Because of Covid-19, certain sections of our society are struggling. This demographic includes senior citizens, migrant labourers, toddlers etc. Provide a solution targeted at one strata of the society.
    2. Example- A mental health app specifically designed for elderlies.
  3. Go Nuts!
    1. Open Innovation, Do we need to say more?. Solve any problem you please, that fits the agenda

 

 

  •  Evaluation 
  • The evaluation will be done by Industry experts from the respective domain on the basis of the following factors:
    1. Originality
    2. Impact 
    3. Resource Usage
    4. Percentage of completion of the proposed idea
  • The teams are expected to come with solutions along with prototypes which can act as a “proof of concept”.
  • The teams are not expected to come up with production level implementations/products.
