"BlockBuster" (stylized in all caps) is the second single album by South Korean boy group DONGKIZ. It was released on July 22, 2019 through Dongyo Entertainment. The single album was produced by e.one, who has worked with Wanna One, TWICE and EXO.[1]

Background

On July 10, 2019, the group posted on their SNS account a doll photo with the caption “Coming Soon”, and confirmed that it was their first comeback single after they debuted and promoted on April 24. The group began releasing teasers and photos from July 17 to July 21, 2019.

On July 17, 2019 the pre-order link for BlockBuster was released. On April 22, 2019, the single album was released as digital on Spotify, Apple Music etc. On the same day, their second music video, Blockbuster, was released on their official youtube channel.

Music video

The main theme of the song's music video follows the classic Hollywood film franchise 'Ghostbusters.' In the video, the boys are working in their ghost busting headquarters when suddenly they receive an urgent call. They then all climb into the company car to head out to save a possessed little girl.

Commercial performance

After the release of the single album in Korea and internationally, they sold 634 in various stores.

The album also charted the Gaon Chart at number 50 in the first week of release.
