Hi! My name is Doreen Hsu (Hsu pronounced like “soo”), and I received my Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego in 2024. My research interests include race and ethnicity, higher education, immigration, mental health, and Asian/Asian American Studies. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Japanese as well as English, and have worked/studied for years in Taiwan and Japan.
