The Thick Plot is a character-driven sci-fi GAY visual novel focused on immersive storytelling, atmosphere, and slow-building relationships. The world is still in its early stages, but every update expands its depth, characters, and interactions.
Story
You play as Silas, a vampire mercenary sent on a covert operation aboard a deep-space ship filled exclusively with men.
Your mission is simple: infiltrate the crew, seduce the captain and anyone else necessary, and retrieve a powerful object.
Survival depends on more than just completing the mission…

Right now the project is in one of the most frustrating stages of development: building a solid foundation. A large part of the current work involves improving the rendering pipeline, remaking older content, fixing technical limitations, and trying to establish a visual style that can properly support the game long-term.

I really appreciate everyone's patience and support while the game continues to grow, improve, and evolve. A lot has changed since the first release, and I genuinely believe it's becoming a much stronger game with each update 👍

Install instructions
How to install and run the game:
- Download the ZIP file.
- Extract it using any archive tool (Windows: right-click → “Extract All”, or use 7-Zip/WinRAR).
- Open the extracted folder.
- Run the executable file: TheThickPlot.exe (Windows)
- On Linux: run the TheThickPlot file
How to install the game on Android:
- Download the .APK file to your device.
- If prompted, enable “Install from unknown sources” in your device settings:
- Settings → Security (or Privacy) → Allow unknown apps
- Open the downloaded APK file.
- Tap Install and wait for the process to finish.
- Once installed, open the game from your app drawer.

What password
In the new update, when confronting Nyra, it says that Nyra's death is the *likely* outcome. But I'm not seeing any other possible outcome. What could cause Nyra to not die? In the previous version, I had the choice to spare her, but the option is gone now.
Good catch. That's actually a leftover line from an older version that I forgot to update.
The option to spare Nyra was intentionally removed. After reworking the route, I decided that critical decisions should have permanent and meaningful consequences, and the old "spare Nyra" outcome didn't really fit that direction anymore.
At the moment, Nyra only survives if you allow Caleb to be the one who dies. Likewise, if Caleb survives, Nyra's death becomes the outcome of that branch.
Going forward, most major decisions will follow a similar philosophy. When the game presents a critical choice, the consequences are intended to be significant and long-lasting rather than easily reversible. 👍
I also believe this will give the game a much stronger replay factor once it's completed. Different choices will lead to genuinely different outcomes, character paths, and consequences, rather than simply changing a few lines of dialogue before converging back to the same result.
In future updates, you'll have the option to simply not pursue a relationship with Caleb at that point. If you choose that route, Nyra won't attack him, meaning neither of them ends up dying during that encounter.
So there will eventually be a path where both Caleb and Nyra survive, but it will come from avoiding the situation entirely rather than resolving it after the confrontation begins.
Well, I don't intend to pursue a relationship at all, but Nyra doesn't seem to care about that, at least not in the current version.

Basically, it's content that's still being developed and isn't considered finished yet. 🚀

Its pretty good so far, Silas is hot and i like his personality so he should be fun to play, still too early to say anything about the story or the like but it has god bones so far. keep up the good work

Ren’Py does support exporting builds for Mac, so technically it’s possible. The main problem is that I don’t own a Mac myself, so I currently have no way to properly test if everything works correctly there.
I’d suggest just pushing the files out there and letting the users tell you if they encounter any problems. Luckily Ren’Py is Python, so it’s pretty consistent from one OS to another. If the game’s tested on PC and Android, and you’re not doing anything crazy code-wise, it’s likely to be just fine on macOS.
